What helped me alot was talking to other Vets and having coffee in the cafes in Mountain View we didnot tell war storys we just talked about how things were and how we were handling it. It is easer talking to someone that has been and seen the same things that you have than talking to your family. John Brigens , Jake Davis, Shorty Castle, and alot of others MV Vets helped me a lot. and I still have coffee at a cafe here in Colorado with Vets here. We call it our Vets coffee brake.  (Aug 6, 2009 | post #6)

I have seen a lot about some of the people in Mountain View But not a thing about The war Vets im Mountain View. I was a Korean war Vet and when I came home to Mountain View The People were good to me. But it took me ten years to get my head on strait. I was not the same person after I got out of the Army. I did go back to school and got my GED, and then I went to College and got a Degree in Forestry and Diesal Mechanics. I retired from the Railroad Test Center in Pueblo, Colorado. It was not easy but after ten years I got my live back on track. I know alot of you vets need some one to talk to and let off steam , you can do it here, we will try to help in any way. from an old Vet Clyde V Antrim  (Aug 6, 2009 | post #1)

If some of you old timers can remember two young men that was alway working together one was tall and the other one was short. Some of us called them the Mutt and Jeff of Mountain View. They worked for just about ever one in town that had any work for them to do. They cleaned out the Castle theather at nights after the movies were over . Joe and Arthur was always willing to work at any Job . Arthur is dead now But you can still see Joe at the Mountain View Care Center, Go see Him and say Clyde sent you , He'll know who I am. I was their friend. yours truly Clyde V Antrim  (Aug 1, 2009 | post #22)

Most of us can remember some of the good times in our past and a little of the bad times . If we have learnd from the past then life was worth it all. Some times life is like a bowl of cherrys sometime sweet and full of pitts yours truly Clyde V Antrim  (Jul 31, 2009 | post #145)
