who do we want as constable 2011-2015?

***Amendment KRS 64.210:*** Allowance to Constables and Deputy Constables in counties containing a Constables Office District Over Sight Committee, and/or a first class city.(Proposal for the Kentucky General Assembly) Fiscal courts of counties containing Constables Office District Oversight Committees and/or first class cities shall authorize the payment of five hundred dollars ($500.00) gas allowance per month out of the counties treasury to the Constables and Deputy Constables **(using their own automobiles)** in the performance of their official duties.... Within the first week of taking office I will secure and establish a bank a general fund account in the name of Bullitt County Constables Office (Second District). like the sheriff's department deputies, the deputy constables at the start of this project will have to provide their own uniforms gun and car etc. i will be working with a friend of mine that knows how to write grants and will be working towards the goals of securing public and private grants to support a portion of this project. "If" the county and the Commonwealth of Kentucky would like to be apart. They can provide a portion of the funds. we will also do basic fund raising as well. The Constables Office like the sheriffs Department is a fee based office under the Kentucky revised statutes. all fees incurred while I am in office will go into the Constables Office general fund account. I will never receive pay for the services I provide as your Constable. It will all go into the general fund to make the Constables Office better for the future. I am not interested in a power grab as you call it. At the end of my term as your Constable. I promise a smooth transition of what we build under my watch to the next Constable.  (Aug 6, 2010 | post #81)

End of Watch Memorial. Fallen Constables of the Commonwea...

Your welcome. I thought that it was important to know the names of the men and their families who gave all for those people that they were elected to serve. I respect those that serve in the position of Constable, and I look forward to serving if the people should allow me to on November, 2nd.  (Aug 5, 2010 | post #22)

I am really confused about that.  (Aug 1, 2010 | post #67)

who do we want as constable 2011-2015?

I believe the answer is above your post. i understand that at the present time Bullitt County has no 1st class cities and Constables in our county are not allowed deputies. If you take the time to read the amendments to KRS 64.190 and KRS 64.210 that I will be offering to the Kentucky General Assembly you will find the information you want. Along with how I intend to pay for the "proposal " with hardly no tax payer money involved. The only way in my proposal that a Constable without a 1st class city in his/her county can have deputies will be to establish a Constables office oversight committee with a five member panel to oversee the activities of the constable and squad of deputies. thanks for the question.  (Aug 1, 2010 | post #65)
