IU president weighing allegations

It's like O'brien at OSU. If we don't verify the allegations as factual he could win a judgement that we did not have just cause. His contract states he can be fired for just cause just as O'briens did and goes on to specify NCAA rules violations. So we must be sure these allegations are factual for them to be violations and give us just cause. It's not that much money when compared with a potential long court battle in the future. Just pay him until we can see how hard the facts of the allegations are. I suspect as most do it should not take too long.  (Feb 14, 2008 | post #82)

Loss in closing seconds adds insult to allegations

Typical hater. Of course every team gets no calls that work in their favor, but this kid had three turnovers in a row (a travel, a double dribble and another travel) that none were called and it would have given us the ball with the lead in the last minute. I didn't claim it cost us the agme. I was just pointing out this was one of the worst I have seen and if you look at the play you'll see it too. However I doubt you watched the game and are just hating.  (Feb 14, 2008 | post #148)

Boilers have poise beyond their years

Owning IU what a joke. Since Keady we easily have a winning record against you. Keady did not have a winning record against Knight partly due to the fact that you had to forfeit games because your program was found guily of MAJOR NCAA violations. Like paying for moving a recruits mother to town and trying to cover it up. Clean program my butt. About living in the past. The only reason you have a winning record against Big Ten schools is because of truly ancient history. I mean pre WWII. Same with Big Ten Titles. IU has won more since the WWII. Proud of being underated? How stupid is that. PU doesn't have fans that go to IU's thread. Are you insane. I read both and the PU fans on IU post are 2 to 3 times as many as IU fans on PU's. I drive through Lafayette and trust me I smell it every time. IU's campus stinks. I know better I live there. Painter deserves Big Ten coach of the year and your team is having a very nice season so get with the program and enjoy it.  (Feb 11, 2008 | post #128)

Boilers have poise beyond their years

Hey dip check 2002 again. IU won a shre of the Big ten Title and went to the fianl game of the NCAA's. Now for PU nada is correct for the last ten years.  (Feb 11, 2008 | post #124)

Four Indiana basketball teams in Top 25

Great work by all these teams. Has this ever happened before where these four schools were all ranked at the same time?  (Feb 11, 2008 | post #24)

White, Gordon lead Hoosiers

Your theory is as stupid as you are. Liberal media outlets like the Indy Star. What a moron. IU gets more national attention because we have a long tradition of winning national championships. Only UCLA and Kentucky have won more titles. We are the most recent team to go undefeated. We have 3 Hall of fame coaches multiple national players of the year. I wonder why we get more national attention?  (Feb 11, 2008 | post #309)

Ankle injury makes Purdue's Martin questionable for Wisco...

Actually it's 7 out of 8 because I didn't notice one of the posters has IU in the post name. That's just sick. 88% of the posts refer to IU or are all about IU from PU fans on a PU article.  (Feb 8, 2008 | post #13)

Ankle injury makes Purdue's Martin questionable for Wisco...

We have 8 posts from PU fans and 6 refer or are completely about IU. This is just a blatant manifestation of PU fans jealous obsession with IU hoops. You folks need to get a grip.  (Feb 8, 2008 | post #12)

Face of the Illini enemy

Wealthy dad, soon to be extremely wealthy boy and successful rich coach. One holier than thou, jealous, loser poster.  (Feb 7, 2008 | post #256)

Time for IU to honor Bob Knight?

I see both sides on this one. He certainly did amazing things for the university in terms of revenue and national exposure. His teams were fun to watch and he brought a bunch of great kids here. For me, taken as a whole theses positives outweighed his boorish, tyranical and disrespectful behavior. I think at his best he was great and unfortunately his flaws brought much grief and embarrassment to a proud institution and it's fans. Tough call, but I agree to not be in a hurry. See if he is receptive and on down the road let him know we appreciated the positive thingS he did for IU by honoring him with the RMK Hall.  (Feb 6, 2008 | post #185)

Boilers roll to 8th straight in Big Ten

You are so out to lunch. PU lost to Mich St so obvioulsy they're not 3-0. The only team they have beaten in the top 25 RPI is Wisconsin. If you go to top 30 to include Louisville you include Clemson which makes you 2-2. Better than us I must admit but our 3 losses were all to teams in the top 17 and we have yet to get Wisconsin at home. Get you're facts straight please.  (Feb 6, 2008 | post #105)

Pat Knight takes on father's role tonight

I hope Pat has matured a bunch since I was around him when he was in Bloomington. I will be pulling for him because Stew Robinson is a heck of a nice guy and if Pat is successful Stew will be too.  (Feb 6, 2008 | post #30)
