'I ain't kill them kids'

totally interupting the race discussion, (i don't have time to read 557 comments on ebonics and racial demographics) i think there is more than meets the eye to the motive for this crime. funny, with the number of complaints at the residence and their obvious connections to drug dealers that IMPD isn't saying this is drug related. my theory, one or both were confidential informants (you can make good money doing that). Obviously, if they were robbing them, they wouldn't have left the cash, dope or guns. this smells of revenge. One girl's ex was indicted in a big cocaine sting last year. i think the message is, this is what happens to narcs... and IMPD isn't talking about it, because the sherrif doesn't want the public backlash for putting those kids and women in harms way. i've seen it before. if the dealers have even a suspicision you're narcing, you need to be VERY careful. it's sad, because many CIs think if they just work for a year, it will be their ticket out of the ghetto. maybe that's what they wanted. to get out.  (Jan 18, 2008 | post #603)

how do you know she didn't give him aspirin? sometimes, even that can't save a person. give her a break.  (Sep 3, 2007 | post #2)

Pence bill to protect journalists OK'd

touchy, touchy. most journalists don't want to assasinate a person's character. they just want the truth. but you seem to be confusing journalists with the talking heads on television.  (Aug 1, 2007 | post #13)

Jury gets Monon Trail attack case

what, are you quoting to kill a mockingbird? the public defender is just doing his job. no matter how guilty someone is, the freedom of our country rests on our belief in a fair court system.  (Jul 24, 2007 | post #28)

Police glad case headed for trial

accidents do happen. i have a friend who struck and killed an intoxicated person who stepped out in front of her vehicle. she immediately stopped and called 911 before she even knew if she had hit a person or a deer. perhaps this truly was an accident. i have no way of knowing if her driving was impaired by alcohol or fatigue or whatever. what we do know is that she didn't stop. she didn't call 911. she didn't care about anyone but herself. i wouldn't say she deserves the death penalty. but she should be held accountable. perhaps if she had stopped, and done a breath test, everyone would know she wasn't intoxicated. perhaps if she had dialed 911 immediately, the man's life could have been saved. and I know what my aunt wishes -- more than the woman who hit her husband being arrested for the crime she committed on June 2, 2005 -- she wishes the woman would apologize. people in this country never want to take responsibility for their actions.  (Jun 26, 2007 | post #40)

Police glad case headed for trial

My uncle was killed two years ago while riding his bike -- legally, with a helmet. the woman who hit him ran off the road into him while adjusting her radio. oh, and maybe you should learn the rules of the road -- bikes ride on the same side that a car would, not on the opposite like a pedestrian. So this man wouldn't have to get out of the way of cars coming toward him. too bad he didn't see your careless friend behind him, who didn't even bother to call an ambulance.  (Jun 25, 2007 | post #29)
