China is a weak nation

Half of the postings in this China forum are from "China Peasant". Does this guy spend his entire life bashing China? No one believes he is either in China or a peasant. How many Chinese peasants spend all day every day on English language internet chat rooms? They are out farming instead  (May 21, 2010 | post #106)

Tibet is not part of China...

Tibet was liberated from a theocratic dictatorship by China in 1950. Tibetans had miserable lives prior to the ouster of the Dali Lama. Most Tibetans died before age 40 back then.  (May 16, 2010 | post #947)

Man Stabs 8 to Death in Latest China Rampage

It's true that China has recently seen a wave of fatal attacks by psychologically disturbed people. Unfortunately, this is a problem in every country to varying degrees. China prohibits the private ownership of guns and has very little illegal drug use among its population. These are the two key reasons why China's violent crime rates are so low. The recent killing stand out because violence is very uncommon in China, especially compared to gun and dope loving America.  (May 11, 2010 | post #64)

Are police justified in using a Taser gun to subdue a fan...

Tasers were originally adopted by police departments to provide an alternative to the use of deadly force. For example, if a mentally disturbed person was holding a knife, the a taser shot is better than a bullet. It saves the life of the troubled person. The problem with taser use today is that police departments nationwide are using them indiscriminately for minor offenses. The wayward baseball fan is an excellent example. He posed no threat of violence to anyone. He was just a teenager being stupid. The overweight cop chasing him was too fat to catch him, so he used his taser instead. Are tasers supposed to compensate for cops being fat? Tasers have been linked to over 100 deaths. No ne should be exposed to that type of risk over a minor offense like trespassing at a ballpark.  (May 6, 2010 | post #26)

I HATE CHINA (in response to "why do Westerners hate China")

Anyone who hates an entire country should self-examine their own life. What would trigger such anger and aggression against 1.3 billion people. Do you just hate the Chinese adults? Or do you also hate Chinese children?  (May 6, 2010 | post #701)

Why do the Chinese hate the United States?

Chinese people view Americans as customers and debtors. Why hate us? We buy their stuff and borrow their money.  (May 6, 2010 | post #201)

Man Stabs 28 Children at Kindergarten

Chinese cops are now stationed outside of kindergarten and primary schools during morning drop-off and afternoon class dismissal. There have been several copy-cat attacks recently, so Chinese authorities don't want to risk any more carnage. It's terrible that anyone would target kids  (May 6, 2010 | post #53)

Everett, MA

Shootings leave 1 dead, 2 hurt

More senseless killing. These are all working class towns with enough problems already. I guess the cops were too busy with their $40 per hour details guarding construction sites to stop any of this.  (May 6, 2010 | post #1)

What is 5 mao party?

I have discovered the true identity of "chinese peasant". He is British Prime Minister Gordon Brown. The poor Prime Minister is tied in a 3-way election and has lost his mind. The Prime Minister is being treated at a London mental health clinic, but they forgot to confiscate his Blackberry when he came in, so he is texting insanely to Topix.  (May 6, 2010 | post #110)

The Educated Racist

Racism refers to unequal application of the law based upon ethnic heritage. Racism can also mean discrimination in hiring and promotion based upon ethnicity. However, racism has nothing to do with IQ measurement. If all racial groups have similar intelligence, then why have ethnically different parts of the world developed so divergently? How can we explain why written language historically emerged in some ethnic areas, but not in others? Even modern day IQ scores show very serious divergence based on ethnicity. The 4 major ethnic groups have mean IQ scores of 80, 94, 100, and 106. It is a puzzle that deserves study.  (May 5, 2010 | post #114)

Who is "Chinese peasant"?

What the heck are "animal-commu nists"? Is this a poorly executed reference to George Orwell's "Animal Farm" novel? Frankly, the comments and identity of "chinese peasant" are not credible. I suspect that he is a bored Taiwanese college kid typing from his parent's home. He watched too many anti-China politicians on TV and now has internalized that viewpoint.  (May 5, 2010 | post #106)

Shanghai a world-class city? Please.

Shanghai has been an important global city for many years. It is the financial and commercial hub of China, population is close to 20 million, every store and service imaginable is present, huge number of foreign companies and expats too.  (May 5, 2010 | post #2)

What is 5 mao party?

The notion that China's government pays people to post comments on a site like this is laughable. How many people actually read these comments? 5 or 10? Then the comment disappears into the mass of archived comments never to see the light of day again.  (May 5, 2010 | post #66)

Google China

Google left China because they were losing money there. Google was always #2 or #3 behind Baidu in search, QQ in social networking, and Taobao in in online retailing. It was a business decision masked as "human rights" grandstanding. It's all about money in the final analysis.  (May 5, 2010 | post #639)

Secret Ten Commandments of CIA in Undermining China

The U.S. government hopes to break China up into little bitty pieces, just like what happened to the old Soviet Union. In America's eyes, a weak and fractured China is easier to deal with than a large, rich, and powerful China. The U.S. government's overseas agencies (including CIA, etc) use every opportunity to promote splitting China apart. That's why the U.S. ferments issues with Taiwan, Tibet, and the Uyghur regions.  (May 5, 2010 | post #16)
