Why Is Judaism So Confused?

Because there is no such thing as Messianic "Judaism ". It is an offense against G-d and Torah for such terminology to be used. Messianics-most of who aren't Jewish-use our traditions and culture and rituals in idol worship. If Messianics would be honest and admit they are a sect of Christianity, quit copying Jews, and quit claiming that they are practicing "Judaism " no one would care. Until then, it's our business.  (Nov 19, 2012 | post #10)

Didn't your saviour say something about removing the beam from your own eye? Learn and study and leave the rest of us alone with the truth-maybe someday you will discover it.  (Nov 15, 2012 | post #8)

I repeat. You aren't a Jew and it doesn't concern you. Worry about your own observances and beliefs. Undoubtedly they can use some work.  (Nov 13, 2012 | post #6)

You aren't Jewish, so don't worry about what we do. It doesn't concern you.  (Nov 11, 2012 | post #4)

Wannabe's

Messianics are wannabes. These people are not. I think this one sentence sums it up nicely: "Jekalska says she was motivated by simple human decency."  (Nov 8, 2012 | post #2)

Why are these Jews taunting this nice lady?

It's impossible to tell what is going in the picture. Why do you assume they are taunting her?  (Sep 5, 2011 | post #2)

For Jews Only

Do you accept the NT as scripture? If so, don't you think you are breaking the above commandment? I've never understood why Messianics cite that verse when it comes to the Oral Law and rabbinical law, but conveniently overlook it when it comes to the NT.  (Aug 5, 2011 | post #20)

Why Do So Few Jews Observe Shabbat?

Why are there so many variations on the pronunciation, or why can't they all be right?  (Jul 24, 2011 | post #7)

Why Do So Few Jews Observe Shabbat?

Why do you think that is the proper pronunciation? I've heard probably half a dozen different pronunciations from Messianics for YHVH. They all can't be right :)  (Jul 24, 2011 | post #5)

Best Browser To Use For Tipix?

Yeah, Firefox works great. Didn't know about the open source issue...but so many people use FF I don't think anything would ever come of a suit should one happen...and at worse presumably it would only involve FF. Peace of mine is always a good thing though.  (Jul 12, 2011 | post #4)

I don't like IE, I find it slow and awkward to use. I use Firefox and have no problems.  (Jul 11, 2011 | post #2)

Jews and guns

Oh....and during holidays, we have members who are armed during services. They are ex IDF, ex military, ex police, or those who have learned to handle guns. They carry during our holidays in case of a terrorist threat.  (Jul 8, 2011 | post #12)

Jews and guns

Well, that is a bit of a generalization. Many Jews are secular lefties, but many of us are not. I am Orthodox as are most of my friends. We certainly do not have a gun phobia; actually our congregation just had a men's event (women invited too!) where they went and shot, and taught those who did not know how. My husband and I both own hand guns, as well as a shotgun. Anyone breaking into our house is going to end up swiss cheese. Our friends who live near us (also Ortohdox) also have guns in their household. I think as a rule, the more religious the Jew, the more conservative the Jew. So don't judge us all by the liberals :)  (Jul 8, 2011 | post #11)

Torah Calendar

Why? We traditionally observe by our local time. I am against pressuring business to do anything. If they wish to attract good employees by allowing them freedom in religious observance, great. I don't think the government needs to stick it's nose into these matters. They are already way too over the top in regulating businesses as is.  (Jul 3, 2011 | post #16)
