Mother And Child Found Dead In Apartment

I know someone who lives in this building where this occured and said she was a very nice lady, she was always seen with her kids on the playground. I am very saddened by this tragedy. My prayers are with the family. Please have some type of respect for the woman and her children as well as the remaining family!!!  (Oct 26, 2007 | post #34)

Suspect In Different Shooting Says Rawlings Fired At Offi...

I think the 18 year old shot at the cops while Rawlings was on the dirt bike which is why he was shot in the back of the head. Rawlings didn't have gun powder because he didn't shoot at anybody the 18 year old did, that's why he had the gun. I bet any amount of money that the bullet shells will match the .45 that the 18 year old had in his house !!! The police already had problems with Rawlings anyway, that's probably why the shot him in the head.  (Oct 19, 2007 | post #10)

Homeless People Sleeping In High School Hallways

I totally agree, Dunvar is suppose to be a very ggod school and supplies DC kids with the best education, how could this be going on? They have put the lives of these children in danger because thay don't want any of the student being able to leave when they feel neccesary. I hope they (DC School officials) get this problem under control ASAP, before someone child gets hurt. Isn't this the Sursum Corda Area? WOW !!!  (Oct 19, 2007 | post #3)

Correction Official: Inmate Stabs Officer At State Prison

He should now be eligible for the death penalty. He's already serving a life sentence for murder so that goes to show you that he really don't care about what happens while he's in jail. I hopw the officer has a speedy recovery, and not return to that hell hole.  (Sep 14, 2007 | post #2)

All you people are so sad, yes diversity is good but are they doing it the right way? I do have an education and I don't plan to go anywhere. I can live in Washington D.C. like anyone else.  (Sep 12, 2007 | post #4)

It's always sad to hear something like this, but whats the point of it all. We all need to do something about this and stop talking about, get this kids into maore activities and TRY to get as many parents involved as we can. PLEASE EVERYONE JUST STOP ALL OF THIS NONSENSE, WE ARE NOT GETTING ANYWHERE AS PEOPLE, WE ARE ONLY ENABLING OURSELVES. WE SHOULD ALL PRAY FOR ONE ANOTHER. I hope this family will get throug this. Sorry to hear about your lost "BIG G". You have to be a strong man for your mother and the rest of your family. Sincerely a Backyard fan.(BYB) CE  (Aug 27, 2007 | post #12)

15 Year Old Shot In Northeast

I use to live in this area and it was not like this. A couple of my friends have passed wasy due to the INCREASED VIOLENCE in the area. I wanted to move back but I now have a three year old daughter to take care of and I refuse to put her in harms way. I have lost some many friends that no one can even imagine. It saddens me because we all probably went to school together and this is what their lives have become, when some (you see I typed SOME) of them have potential to be great human beings. Most of the time these acts of violence are senseless and over something like someone don't like the way he/she dresses and the cars that someone drives, etc. R.I.P Will Lil Wayne and I hope that the young man who was shot recovers and not retaliate against whom ever committed this act of violence.  (Aug 7, 2007 | post #2)
