Orlando Magic make history in first NBA Finals win

Lakers fans you all can relax. I called for your team to win this series in 5 games and it is going to happen. No fear about a reverse jinx when it comes to my correct predictions. When I say something is going to happen then it always does. My track record speaks for itself here. My overall correct prediction percentage is hovering around 94 percent. So a championship for you guys is GUARANTEED. If I called it then it WILL happen. No worries here for you Lakers fans.  (Jun 9, 2009 | post #8)

Lakers fans you all can rest easy knowing that I have called this series sweep for your team. My success rate for predictions is hovering somewhere around 93.4 percent. So when I make a prediction in favor of your team there is NO CHANCE of any kind of a jinx taking place. It has NEVER happened and it NEVER will. You fans in Los Angeles will be gazing at the big trophy next Friday June 12th, 2009 after the Lakers have swept the Magic. I stand behind my predictions. So you fans have absolutely nothing to fear here. It's a done deal.  (Jun 7, 2009 | post #267)

Atleast Jack Nicklaus won't be in the stands in Orlando. Maybe it's about time for him to do another movie ?  (Jun 7, 2009 | post #119)

This thing is over folks. I called this 4 game sweep for the Lakers. Dwight Howard has done, and will continue to do absolutely nothing in this series. 7 turnovers tonight ? Ouch! Simply put, that's not gonna get it done. Courtney Lee chokes and misses two simple little kid layups that any 5 year old could make. The Magic is averaging 85 points per game in this series. The beginning of the end was when all of this Jameer Nelson drama started. This is almost like watching preseason basketball now. This team in no way shape or form resembles the team that defeated the Celtics and the Cavs. There is no flow to the offense. It looks like a team of strangers that was put together at the last minute. This WILL be a sweep folks. And the Magic WILL NOT reach 100 points in the next two losses at home and will lose this series 4 games to none.  (Jun 7, 2009 | post #89)

It's time to start Nelson at point guard

Mr. Streets you are correct sir. 3 more blowout wins for the Lakers and then it will time for all fans out in L.A. to party like it's 1999.  (Jun 6, 2009 | post #17)

I believe the Magic in their minds think that they won the championship after they beat Cleveland. That was essentially like their championship. And now they are just "happy to be here" in the NBA Finals. And the way they played that first game was a clear indicator of just that. Unfortunately for the Magic it will probably be 3 more games just like game 1 which will result in a Lakers sweep. The Magic are "happy to be here" while the Lakers are clearly playing like a team on a mission, led by the phenomenal Kobe Bryant.  (Jun 6, 2009 | post #12)

I am not a big fan of Kobe Bryant here, but even I have to admire the way he goes out there and simply gets it done. He plays the game with great determination and zeal. And most importantly HE HATES TO LOSE. Michael Jordan had these same qualities. I believe this is what separates the very good players from the phenomenal ones. Simply put, I may not be a fan of Kobe Bryant but he could play on my team any day of the week. Never mind what he has done off the court in the past. All of that is over and done with. The man has paid the price already and is moving on. After all we all make mistakes. He made a big one. But I think he has matured greatly in the last 6 years since then.  (Jun 6, 2009 | post #9)

Nelson should have stayed on the injured list. Instead he has disrupted what once was a good rhythmn here for the Magic. With that being said I see a clean 4 game sweep for the Lakers in this series. The Magic have NO CHANCE. NONE. The Lakers are simply too big up front. They create many a matchup problem for Orlando. And it all starts with Howard. Unfortunately Dwight will average no more than 14 points per game in this series. In fact Bynum's numbers should be about the same as Howard's when all is said and done. Look for Turkoglu and Lewis to struggle as well. Both of them will average no more than 12 points per game in the series. So the combination of the Lakers length and Kobe mixed in with all the Jameer drams spells disaster for the Magic. Lakers in 4. Easy call to make folks. Kobe gets what Kobe wants. And if you don't believe me simply look at his demonic face. That is the face of somebody who wants something and will just simply go out and get it. And believe me the Magic ARE intimidated and WILL roll over and play dead in this series. NO CHANCE. NONE.  (Jun 6, 2009 | post #7)

Magic go cold in L.A., lose Game 1

Folks this series is over. It will be a 4 game sweep for the Lakers. Nothing really to be impressed about I guess. I mean it will basically be like stealing candy from a baby for them to win this championship. How can you possibly celebrate stealing candy from a sleeping baby ?  (Jun 5, 2009 | post #378)

34 shots ? In one game ? Wow. I bet any one of us here in this forum could score 40 points by jacking up 34 shots in 1 game. Not impressive at all whatsoever. In no way shape or form does it get it done here.  (Jun 4, 2009 | post #125)

Sir please. Nobody here appreciates anyone who is into self promotion especially when it comes to something so immature as predicting the outcome of basketball games. By the way I called tonights Magic loss. I even had the score right down to the last t. I called this loss tonight folks.  (Jun 4, 2009 | post #110)

The Lakers HAVE NOT lost 2 in a row in the playoffs. So there goes that theory down the drain.  (Jun 4, 2009 | post #83)

Dude get a grip and relax. You and I both know it's over. So don't come in here and try to act like you are this caring individual when the truth is that you are Jack Nicklaus in sheeps clothing. Any minute now you're gonna pop in and say "Here's Johnny" like he did in that movie Batman when he played the Penguin.  (Jun 4, 2009 | post #80)
