Woman accepts plea deal in UConn fatal hit-and-run

It IS strange that if she had been shot, they'd be in prison a LOT longer. But because the deadly weapon had wheels, for some reason 3 years is enough. They let her die, they left the scene, they should face much harsher consequences.  (Apr 19, 2008 | post #19)

Bush to attend Cappiello fundraiser in Kent

Try to stay in the present, and not too distant past. I know it's hard for you guys not being able to blame the woes of the world on Clinton anymore, but really, time to move on.  (Apr 18, 2008 | post #63)

Mother of dehydrated toddler calls arrest bittersweet

The mother had a fever... not Dengue fever, just a fever... have your druggie friends come over to watch YOUR child at YOUR house while you take a tylenol. Jesus H, what a disaster. I will never understand why people who don't WANT kids continue to have them.  (Apr 18, 2008 | post #6)

Bush to attend Cappiello fundraiser in Kent

First of all, can we ALL admit that until fundraisers are not $1000 a plate, NEITHER side cares what the average American thinks? Secondly, Cappiello can try all he wants to get the seat from Chris Murphy. It isn't going to happen. I love the Republican mantra 'Government is bad- vote for me and I'll prove it!'.  (Apr 17, 2008 | post #21)

Has SHO ever offered anything useful to a thread?

Indeed, SHO went through a long, drawn out and bitter 'diverse'... hahaha... too funny... nothing to see here, move along....  (Apr 16, 2008 | post #17)

Poll: Obama has wide lead over McCain in Conn.

keep ASSuming, tough guy. You are too dense in the head to understand exaggeration, but whatever. Not my problem. You live in Texas. I don't.  (Apr 11, 2008 | post #382)

you make it sound like this is a new problem.  (Apr 11, 2008 | post #381)

This might help our economy

Turf, rummaging through a weeks worth of posts to find one by me, then NOT comment on it is a sign that you have mental problems yourself. Wherein did I refer to MYSELF in the third person, by the way??? What is your obsession?  (Apr 11, 2008 | post #4)

Church may help illegal families

Actually, I really miss illegal and lovin it. That still ranks as one of the all-time greatest posting names. Hey, if I leave for a month or two, who's going to be here when I get back? I'm getting sick of the same old arguments. Nothing new... ever... always 'libs **** ', 'illegals are the root of all evil'... blah blah blah... It has lost the humor and excitement it once offerred. Now I;m just really disappointed in my 'fellow man'.  (Apr 10, 2008 | post #358)

Poll: Obama has wide lead over McCain in Conn.

yep, border security would be the ideal way to go. But is it really feasible?  (Apr 10, 2008 | post #374)

Poll: Obama has wide lead over McCain in Conn.

two final thoughts, one- people are kind of stupid about money. I agree that it has to do with personal responibility, but again, what is it about our society that makes people think it's ok to do what we are doing? and two- not everyone has a big, great, caring family. What a rosy world you live in. Sorry, kid with cerebral palsy. Can't help ya out. Your mommy and daddy should just deal. What? Your mommy and daddy left you? Awww shucks. Tough luck kid! two of my nieces are severely disabled- aka, they will never be 'productive' citizens in your eyes. Fortunately, we can help out, but what about the kids that grow up in poverty or abusive homes? Sorry, you can't just dump them on the streets. Why do you seem to have such a 'me-first' attitude? What is it about having a responsibility to MORE than just yourself that scares you?  (Apr 10, 2008 | post #372)

Danbury ER diagnosis: chronic congestion

Sorry, that still won't solve the problem of incompetence. Also, have you been stricken with a 'third world disease'? You sound bitter.  (Apr 10, 2008 | post #18)

Danbury ER diagnosis: chronic congestion

Let's see- stop blaming illegals, it goes way beyond that. All the good walk-in clinics have closed, as has been pointed out. Brookfield, Southbury, Danbury- All gone. That's kind of a big deal, as those places probably handled a lot of no-insurance people. Also, people do need to remember that just because you don't have insurance doesn't mean you can't make an appointment with a regular doctor! I do it once a year now for a physical. You pay AT THE DOOR when you are done. Don't tell me these people with sinus infections can't afford THAT! It's the simplest way of doing things, and arguably the way it should be. HSA's and similar accounts will be the future- get the idiot middle-men out of it. As for incompetence- tell whoever you can about your experiences with the hospitals- otherwise, nothing will ever get done. If they had a PA out in the waiting room, on SALARY, they could probably weed out a third of the people at any given time.  (Apr 10, 2008 | post #17)
