You'll have to contact Buncombe Realty, 1104 Hendersonville Rd, Asheville, NC 28803. Their name is on the Buncombe county tax record. The archive card shows they tried to condemn it for awhile and then in 2003 the board of equalization doubled the value of it and decided it didn't need to be condemned. (Feb 28, 2008 | post #64)

I'd trade all the stores here in the West Asheville/Candler area for just 1 Super Wal-Mart. Better prices, more variety, & a full staff of employees. Ingles has been raping citizens for far to long. The managers have raped the vendors for as much free **** (game tickets, race tickets, golf passes, concerts) as they can get by threatening less shelf space and displays. Since they employee so few, they should be a little more competitive with pricing and attitude. I sure wish I had a free labor force from my vendors. If you're ever in Wal-Mart ask some of the employees if they ever worked for Ingles and if they'd ever go back. I think you'll be suprised. (Feb 27, 2008 | post #40)

The Pattersons do not want to farm anymore because they're both retired educators, you dumbass. They spent their lives in careers trying to educate ignorant people such as yourself how to be a little more intelligent. I'm proud to say I'm a product of their efforts and hold the highest amount of respect for both of them. If you could have had such mentors, you might someday receive the rewards they are. I'm sure they don't really see it as a reward, just a sign of getting older and less able bodied. Don't blame them for selling what they earned when the time was right.
