Thanks for some sanity. Surely we all can agree that cannibalism is a bad plan. Robert E Lee was a military man with little interest in slavery. Only about 25% of families in the Confederate States of America owned slaves. During the Civil war, slavery was legal in both the United States and the Confederacy. It was legal in 5 union states and Washington D C. Some slave owners fought against the Confederacy. Being greatly outnumbered with few factories to make weapons, we would have gladly went our way in peace. We only wanted what the North also wanted 4 score and 7 years ago from the time of the Gettysburg Address. The United States still has not learned that sending an invading army is a bad plan. And the example has been set for all our states. If we try to go our separate way, the United States will feel justified in bombing our infrastructure and maiming and killing as many of our citizens as possible. It seems unsafe at this time for any country in the world to choose any form of government other than a democracy. That seems to be the latest explanation for our military being in Iraq. True, I don’t know for sure. What I gave you is the contrast between what the conditions were when we had a Democrat as President and what we have now under a Republican President. When we have bad vibes about someone, it may be tempting to cheer for their defeat. In this case, that pleasure will cost you and all of us big time. Obama is very rich. Is it because you like high inflation of groceries and fuel better than low inflation on everything? Or is it because you prefer a high federal deficit to a record surplus? Or is it because you prefer having the number of illegal immigrants multiply several times? Or do you enjoy seeing us spend 3 billion borrowed dollars a week to police an oil rich independent nation? Or do you enjoy seeing laws such as the Patroit Act? Any favorites or do you just hope that the United States falls apart in as many ways as posible. You're not the only one but I don't get it. Do you really think that a huge defict is better than a record surplus? Do you think that it is better that the number of illegal immigrants is several times greater? Do you really think that terrific inflation in fuel and groceries is better than low inflation? Can you explain why the Bush changes are better? Please do or please help throw the Republican saboteurs out of office. You make some good points. I lived in a black neighborhood for 6 months. Never again. It amazes me that they can with a straight face call any other race racist. I definitely would not vote for someone because they are black but many whites and blacks will be doing just that. The reason I’m voting for Obama is because McCain wants to continue the disastrous Bush policies. Obama at least wants to, sometime, soon end, >> spending 3 billion borrowed dollars a week to police an oil rich independent nation. Obama doesn’t want to disengage our expensive foreign meddling as much as I wish but he is a breath of fresh air to the asinine and ruinous foreign policies of McCain. Like McCain, he is scarred to stand up to our own foreign invaders. What are you going to do, the big corporations have bought up almost all our elected officials in hopes of putting all workers in North America in the desperate situation that Mexican workers find themselves. It will be the Mexicans themselves who will put us into their shoes by producing way too many workers for the entire continent. We need to shut the door tight on this very self-destructive culture. They will take down any country they live in. Obama like most Democrats believe it is important to pay for their spending. McCain like most Republicans are contend to just borrow and spend. I’m not a fan of the Clinton’s but I have to admit that our best economy in history was when they were in power. I do think that people who are willing to murder or beat me senseless for my stuff deserve a taste of their own medicine more so than someone who would not attack me.
