That too smart. That won't work in this town.  (Apr 22, 2009 | post #15)

We must face up to the real education problem

What ever happened to corporal punishment(spellin g)? I remember getting out of line a little and I got paddled, then I had to go home and get more medicine. This type of treatment made me pretty reluctant to out of line too much. My parents pretty much made me aware that if I misbehaved in school, the teachers and principal were well justified if they were to smack me. 4th graders in a gang? Please, they should be getting their little @sses kicked by their parents, teachers, and principals. Oh yea, I forgot, you can't discipline kids anymore because you'll get thrown in jail for it. Rant over, as you were.  (Apr 20, 2009 | post #7)

Waiting for the crowds

That's an interesting idea. Too bad your idea has too much common sense. The city would never use an idea like that  (Apr 6, 2009 | post #35)

Councilors cite economy in anti-tax vote

My dad used to tell me "No one owes you anything, If you want something, go and work for it". That was some pretty good advice. It's helped me get along well. I agree with Marco's post. There is no right TO home ownership. If you can afford to buy a home then you acquire the rights OF ownership.  (Mar 12, 2009 | post #47)

Early election turnout varies between neighborhoods

Just for your information, it is illegal to require first & last months rent & deposit. It is legal to require first & last months rent OR first months & deposit. Report any landlord that tells you different to the nm real estate commission. I hope this helps out other renters out there.  (Mar 11, 2009 | post #92)

How did you vote on the "Robin Hood" tax

I don't understand what you mean. I was just curious because I went to vote today and there were very few people there. I figured this thing will pass or fail by a narrow margin if there is so little interest.  (Feb 13, 2009 | post #2)

Solis latest tax cheat for Obama

With all these problems nominees are having with their taxes, you would think that maybe the president, congress, senate would look into simplifying reporting your taxes. Can you imagine the problems John Q. Public is having reporting accurate tax info? Sorry Roy, I am a Democrat and I would prefer something simpler. A flat tax from my point of view would be just fine.  (Feb 7, 2009 | post #27)

The class of 1988: Facing the Demons

I also found out too late. I would have loved to reconnect with my old classmates. We all went our separate ways and lost touch with each other. Some of us still talk, and some of us a reconnecting, a little slowly, but still....  (Dec 28, 2008 | post #42)
