Definition of Liberal

So, how much of this do you think applies to those people and/or organizations who identify as liberal, or progressive, in the 21st century? Politics Liberalism, is a political philosophy or worldview founded on ideas of liberty and equality. The former principle is stressed in classical liberalism while the latter is more evident in social liberalism.[1] Classical liberalism, a political or social philosophy advocating the freedom of the individual, parliamentary systems of government, nonviolent modification of political, social, or economic institutions to assure unrestricted development in all spheres of human endeavor, and governmental guarantees of individual rights and civil liberties. Conservative liberalism, a variant of liberalism, combining liberal values and policies with conservative stances, or, more simply, representing the right-wing of the liberal movement Economic liberalism, the ideological belief in organizing the economy on individualist lines, such that the greatest possible number of economic decisions are made by private individuals and not by collective institutions. Social liberalism, the belief that liberalism should include social justice and that the legitimate role of the state includes addressing issues such as unemployment, health care, education, and the expansion of civil rights https://en.wikiped ia.org/wiki/Libera l  (Oct 19, 2016 | post #1)

Can't manage the gov & NOT honest or trustworthy

How entertaining and interesting it would be if McMullin could pull in enough electoral votes to force Congressional intervention. Just think, Trump would probably go back to his life and get over it. The Clintons would probably put a price on his (McMullens) head. Hillary's blood pressure would become completely unmanageable, and Congress would most likely live up to their long tradition of doing pretty much NOTHING! And we would have no president for a long time to come. I believe I will go stock up on ammo now.  (Oct 19, 2016 | post #658)

The level of righteousness and vitriol is pretty interesting for someone who refers to himself as "progressive ", "liberal ", and of course, "tolerant ". Do suppose his best friend is black too? Glad they sacked his snotty a$$. Although the circumstances of his firing will make him a martyr in the eyes of his "peers".  (Oct 19, 2016 | post #34)

Anyone actually surprised about this? Hillary is like most, if not all, zealot. Willing to do whatever is required to obtain and hold on to power. And she has no qualms about doing whatever is necessary to squelch her detractors. Dayton admits obamacare disaster

Hmm. How long do you suppose it will be before Gov. Googly Eyes says he was misquoted, taken out of context and misinterpreted. He's not exactly the type to buck the part line. Oh, and let us not forget the old stand by...he mispoke.  (Oct 13, 2016 | post #3)

blame russia

officials reported"... "experts concluded"... yet not one shred of evidence that Russia had anything to do with hacking the infamous email server. Lets face it, they just had crappy security in place on that server. And anyone who knows anything about network security and wants to keep classified info classified, will know that the best way to do that is make sure that server is not connected to the internet in any way, shape, or form.  (Oct 13, 2016 | post #3)

She's no dummy. She knows just how to tweak a speech to cater to the audience she is speaking to. It's the least she can do for those massive fees she collects.  (Oct 13, 2016 | post #9)

I suspect a good number of them (her supporters) do, in fact, understand that concept. Hillary, not so much. OR Trump, for that matter. But he does have the distinct advantage of being a "political outsider". That means a lot to a lot of folks. Some of them are even deplorable. But even the "deplorables " and "irredeemable s" are at least smart enough to know a lying, scheming, vindictive witch when they see on.  (Oct 13, 2016 | post #116)

Well, technically, it is possible to make babies without actually having sex. Less messy and much more efficient. Saves on laundry too.  (Oct 8, 2016 | post #87)

No. Trump said some stupid things in range of a mic. Clinton actually took advantage of his position and took advantage of one of his subordinates, thereby also committing adultery. (or several, maybe, and often classified as a form of sexual harassment and/or rape in the civilian world). Then lied about it under oath. There is a significant difference. Trumps main poison are the stalwarts of the republican party who see Trump as the end of their status quo. All the time and energy they expended to suck their way to the higher echelons of the party are in jeopardy, Trump is a wild card they fear will crumble the foundations of their old boys club. The democrats are not in much better shape. Sanders shook them up and they quelled him in favor of their chosen one. They realized that HRC was the only candidate that could neatly beat anyone the republicans had to offer. (they had the first AA president, the first woman in the white house would be the next logical notch on the gun) Until the RNC lost control of the process and the trump factor kicked in full force. Lets face it, the republicans have not had a real great record of choosing viable candidates the last few cycles. I mean c'mon, McCain/Palin, Romney, Huckabee? Really? The only way they could have won the last two election, is if they had nominated Oprah to run. Unless she picked Dr. Phil for her running mate. Smart republicans (and democrats) know that Trump is the only nominee who stood a chance of beating HRC. And they hate it. He was nominated precisely because he is not "status quo" in DC. Precisely because he is not like other politicians. People on both sides of the isle are fed up with the status quo.  (Oct 8, 2016 | post #86)

Sued in small claims court in different state

Who, exactly, informed you of this issue? Libs is right. Call the court and keep calling until you talk to someone who knows what's going on. Document everything. Names, times, dates, etc. Inform them you never received the documents. Every state is different, but you can probably request they resend the docs and possibly restart the clock pending a valid signature. Oh, and if at all possible, do not include the bit about room mate and possibly mistakenly disposing of said docs. The people you will probably talk to are not the ones who make the final decision nor are you in any way under oath when gathering information from them. They don't need to know about roomie. You will likely end up taking a road trip no matter what since they may not be able to do anything without you being there in person to prove your identity when requesting information. They may be able to release info if you can fax or email them proof of ID. Just stick to the "i never received them or signed for them" thing if at all possible. Try to talk to the same person every time you call. Even if it means being on hold or waiting for a return call. Then you should have the information you need to proceed. Like, who is suing you and why. IF you do nothing, it is very likely that the small claims court will, after some time, give the win to the "sue-er" . Correction: When you're famous and have shiat-tons of money, bling, drugs, real estate, political potential, connections, etc...they let you do whatever you want. And for a fair number of women, it's true. If you don't believe me, just ask: (insert near infinite number of names of politicians, musicians, actors, pro athletes, producers, directors, businessmen, college professors, yoga instructors, religious leaders, etc). The term "gold digger" has now become a legitimate and accepted profession. Trumps mistake was being anywhere near a mic when he let his guard down. No doubt almost everyone on both sides renouncing Trump for this are scared to death their own past indiscretions will eventually surface.  (Oct 8, 2016 | post #83)

Hillary will lose! "EmailGate" NOT WORTHY TO BE President...

Based on the reports in the news in recent years, apparently no one in the government has managed to get it through their heads that if you want information to remain classified, DO NOT place it on ANY device connected to the internet. It is pretty much impossible to secure any server from being hacked if it's connected to the web.  (Sep 24, 2016 | post #6)

Don't vote for Hillary!

Boggles the mind how people who complain the most about the 1%'rs getting more than their fair share can support people like Clinton, or Pelosi, or pretty much everyone in congress, who are themselves one perceneter's. Even more mind boggling is that they actually believe these people will vote to increase their own taxes.  (Sep 24, 2016 | post #7)
