Here is a good site. http://answers.goo gle.com/answers/th readview?id=146033 I guess those published figures from the House and the Senate are for a 10 year period. So when one divides those numbers by 10: House plan = $3,870.97 per person Senate plan = $2,73.87 per person  (Nov 19, 2009 | post #10)

I found this on Canada: http://www.cga.ct. gov/2006/rpt/2006- R-0289.htm In the end, Canada currently spends $5,200.00 per person.  (Nov 19, 2009 | post #9)

Senate debate on $849 billion health-care plan, which has 'publ...

I guess the House plan is 1.2 trillion, while the Senate plan seems 849 billion. This measure I read somewhere here on Topix, provides care for 31 million people. The house plan provides $38,709.68 per person. While the Senate plan costs 27,387.09 per person. This health insurance seems a bit steep to me. Why does all this begin to look like further BANK bail-out? Aren't the insurance companies and the banks in bed together? Excuse me a bit. I want to see how much per person France, Cannada and U.K. spend per person, if I can find it on the net...  (Nov 19, 2009 | post #8)

White Guys, what do you HONESTLY think of Black girls? [Objective forum]

Trying to come up with a serious answer here, most black women cause my heart to skip a beat every time I see them. In the store I see them shopping sometimes and I think (OMG! she is so pretty!) In art classes and political discussion groups, black women seem to have good opinions and organized ideas. You have posed a very difficult question here, but a few black women seem unusually shy, and self conscious, and fearful but there aren't that many black women out here. We have black athletes who were dating white, but very few black women, then the ever present racist few decided to give scholarships to some black women to get black athletes black women to date, but for the most part, white guys grabbed the black women up as fast as they arrived. Life is complicated. Fun, but complicated...  (Nov 18, 2009 | post #7)

Should the US have universal healthcare?

I'm trying to compare taxes in countries around the world, considering countries who have free medical care and free higher education, to those of countries without government medical care and expensive higher education. This has turned out to be quite a task, as tax codes are very complicated. But most tax codes seem to end up with similar percentages, whether the country has free medical care and free higher education or not. Our biggest problem here in the US seems to be our staggering National Debt. Where did the money go? Why are we still subsidizing our richest individuals? If I can get this world wide comparison understandable I'll post it here. My main argument is that we in the US seem to pay as much taxes as those in countries with free medicine and free higher education. Why?  (Nov 18, 2009 | post #69105)

How White Men Can Start Dating Black Women

When a long, or not so long, relationship ends, on good terms or bad, I think it's important to pursue the next relationship with someone entirely different, so you both won't have reason to compare the new relationship with the old relationship. Starting over works best when everything is new and different.  (Oct 10, 2009 | post #411)

Well, it's getting closer to Thanksgiving. I feel I must recommend the best Thanksgiving Movie ever, the only story that gives real meaning to that Holiday, and provides us (or at least me) with a reminder that Thanksgiving ranks with the 4th of July for giving our unusual nation purpose. (ie., my favorite Thanksgiving move.) Before Thanksgiving, do yourself a favor and see "Pieces of April", staring Katie Holmes, Derek Luke, and Oliver Platt. (Contains a very deep I.R. theme, reminding us of the meaning of America.) (Pay close attention to Katie Holmes as she explains Thanksgiving to the Asians.)  (Sep 8, 2009 | post #556)

Ancient Black Nations in America

I'm sort of basing my argument on the observation, the East Coast American Indians seem to have European noses, and West Coast Indians seem to have Asian noses. But that's not as valid as DNA testing.  (Sep 4, 2009 | post #569)
