Does anyone know about this meeting on Friday? Something about a gas company looking to buy mineral rights from people in and around Denver(Preston county)? Thanks, Corine (Jul 9, 2008 | post #1)
Looks like Mon - 3/17 Tony gets his back waxed and Victory Junction Camp Gang gets at least one check for $100 from Kevin Harvick. There might be another one from Jimmie Johnson for $10 if someone pulls some wax off of Tony's back. How ironic Kevin took Tony out near the end of today's race. I hope Operation Wax Smokes goes on tomorrow as planned and Kevin fills in for Tony on Tony's radio show. (Mar 16, 2008 | post #1)
Interesting thought. I think with Jeff, it's a case of him becoming a daddy. Casey Mears, well is Casey Mears. As for Jimmy Johnson, he got his two championships, this year he'll go back to his old ways. Then there is Junior, well, with better equipment to drive than at DEI, he had better show his talent which he is doing. Then again Eric Amorola(sp?) did finish 8th in the #8 today. Personally I am tired of NASCAR already this season between Junior and Kyle Busch...it's all becoming boring. I think I will hang out at Hickory Motor Speedway and then check out the Old School Racing League when it starts in May at the other Concord racetrack.... (Mar 16, 2008 | post #26)
My father is sick and I need to find someone or people who can do the following work: clear out old carpet, clear out old shed, clear out trees and shrubs outside. Need gutters and downspouts put on house. Need all the windows wrapped in plastic. Need a hot water tank installed. Any suggestions?? The house is in Denver off of Rte 26. Why no mention of Travis missing is because he is not a missing blonde white female of any age. This is not to offend this type, but it happens. (Aug 26, 2007 | post #51)
With Walmart coming, there are already tons of for sale signs along 321. With Walmart will be other retail establishments as well as restaurants. So, look for major changes to 321 in the next 5-10 years. We moved here last year from Concord Township a far eastern suburb of Cleveland,OH to the Grace Chapel area. There is nothing around here unless you go into Hickory. I too would love a Trader Joe's. Shopped there on Long Island when I worked up there for a few months. Great place. Curious as to the comments on the found gravesite. Work did stop until family members of those in the cemetary were found, it was discussed and agreed upon relocation those in the cemetary. If you travel anywhere over in this area there are the old family cemetaries from the 1800's. Most are not kept up which is a shame. But in the need and greed of times - most will go to the wayside when developers come in. So unless there are living relatives or some organization to take over the cemetary, chances are, those buried will be relocated. When I die, I want to be cremated and ashes be disposed where I want them to go. Just my thoughts. As for Walmart - usually Walmart gets what they want. I have noticed a change in types of employees - retired and/or physically handicapped - I guess their way of justifying lower wages. Same for Lowe's Warehouse. (Aug 26, 2007 | post #47)
