In our opinion - We need polling places

This is not accurate. Poll workers are just that...workers and they receive $$ http://www.sos.ca. gov/elections/poll worker.htm . Also, the location itself also receives $$.  (Dec 6, 2010 | post #10)

My apologies Native, however, you failed to quote to who you were responding...yeah, quit yelling, just take your caps off.  (Nov 28, 2010 | post #43)

Hey idiot ACTUALLY, understand that it cost no more or no less when individuals need assistance from monies already budgeted for first responders. Yes, the monies come from state and federal taxes which are budgeted to county and local agencies. But to profess that incidents such as these cost 'more' is just stupid. Additionally, SAR (search and rescue) are volunteers. That means they receive no funds individually. The SAR usually has a uniformed officer involved in an administrative position (that once again is budgeted in by the local agency). Pull your head out and be grateful for volunteers. If you don't like the way things are done - become involved and quit b*tching.  (Nov 28, 2010 | post #42)

Do you totally live under a rock? It costs no more to attend to accidents than it does for accidents not to happen. Are you unaware that monies are already budgeted for first responders? Native - you are an idiot. Go crawl back under your rock.  (Nov 27, 2010 | post #39)

Hey - all the "bill them bill them"....Sear ch and Rescue are all volunteers. Instead of complaining about people SAR is out there doing something to help. Thank you SAR.  (Nov 23, 2010 | post #5)

Wildcats score quickly and often in 63-20 win over Lobos

Boy - it sure is a shame for the kids when parents like you try to live through their kids. Shame on you.  (Nov 22, 2010 | post #25)

Branches restaurant to open Nov. 1

Wow - you work for some other restaurant? We have had brunch there, and while the service was slow when we had a 5 year old with us (not as slow as the Broiler), the food was prepared as described on the menu. It was tasty. Meat was full aged flavored and was quite tender. So what did you eat there 'just do not'?  (Nov 22, 2010 | post #98)

Ummm, don't think so. But if you have never been out of Ukiah/Redwood Valley I can see how you would think so.  (Nov 22, 2010 | post #97)

YEP! Please list for me the Ukiah High grads who have gone on to play at 'name' colleges (not Chico, not Davis, etc) or even better, play professionally. The list is very, very short. So YES, we should teach our children to compete for fun. Not for their parents' glory.  (Nov 18, 2010 | post #19)

Okay 'Parent' (and I use the term loosely) - they are called STUDENT athletes for a reason. Students first - athletes second. "A threat" - really? So are you living vicariously through your children because you were not a stellar student or student athlete? I think 'parent' needs to learn something other than a small-town attitude.  (Nov 18, 2010 | post #16)

What? Oh, that's right you are from Clear Lake so your brain is fried and you can compose a coherent sentence.  (Nov 14, 2010 | post #7)

It's called increasing the standardized testing scores. If the current trend continues....ALL SCHOOLS in our state will be in project improvement. Here's a thought, let's put some retired teachers (not administrators) into the state and national level of decision making when looking for outcomes. We have legislators who have NEVER set foot into a classroom as an adult making decisions that effect our students. What a bad idea.  (Nov 10, 2010 | post #3)

Is it necessary to run the score? Really, so UHS did to this team what other teams have been doing to them all year - tromp!  (Nov 10, 2010 | post #2)

Scale stolen from Ukiah Lions Youth Football & Cheer

It is amazing to see the one who 'demand change' not doing anything other than run their mouths. Get off your bottoms and get busy. Oh wait, you want to be in charge and not just work with the kids. Remember this is a YOUTH PROGRAM, not a program for the parents to relive their failed youth through. Shut up or put up.  (Oct 28, 2010 | post #110)
