AT&T relents, giving some current iPhone owners a price b...

It has nothing to do with your phone. It has to do with your contract. When your contract is up, you're eligible for the discounted price on another phone, along with renewing your contract. That's great that AT&T is letting people get the discount a few months early. Sprint's policy is to offer the discount at 22 months of a contract (2 months before the full 2 years). I have no idea why news people are running with this story as if it's some crazy fiasco related to the iphone.  (Jun 18, 2009 | post #10)

I hate to break it to you, but this article was not an editorial. It was a story -- not a very interesting one, but one that consolidated public facts. Methinks someone who took offense or perceived bias in this story is a bit sensitive to start with.  (Apr 9, 2009 | post #167)

Plaxico Burress no answer for Chicago Bears

Plaxico Burress no answer for Chicago Bears

Burress needs the ability to get along with more than the head coach (teammates, coordinators, etc). He's a head-case. This is the kind of gamble the Bears would need to take if they signed Kurt Warner this offseason. But they didn't. They traded for a 25-year-old. There is time, people. Relax.  (Apr 8, 2009 | post #95)

Doesn't take into account field position. Includes scoring by DEF and ST. The Bears had 5 of those TDs, and almost every NFL team had between 3-6.  (Apr 7, 2009 | post #64)

No, it wasn't a rhetorical question. The Bears were tied for 14th in the NFL in scoring last year. Based on their personnel, if they had your "average joe" offensive coordinator, where would you expect them to rank? If you answered "lower than 14th," that's correct. That's why Ron Turner is not a liability. http://www.nfl.com /stats/categorysta ts?archive=false &conference=nu ll&role=TM &offensiveStat isticCategory=SCOR ING&defensiveS tatisticCategory=n ull&season=200 8&seasonType=R EG&tabSeq=2 &qualified=tru e&Submit=Go  (Apr 7, 2009 | post #61)

A "guilty" plea is probably too much to hope for. But this outcome is probably second-best, because he'll actually have to face the charges, instead of getting off easy through a plea bargain.  (Apr 7, 2009 | post #9)

What exactly is wrong with Ron Turner? You don't think he got enough out of the offense last year, given the players he had? And you don't think better players will make any offense look better?  (Apr 7, 2009 | post #36)

According to Sam Smith, "flu" is a euphemism that sportswriters are prone to using. And KC Johnson gives it even less legitimacy by calling it "flu-like symptoms." I know players like to live it up, but the season is only a few weeks longer... can't the extreme partying wait for the offseason?  (Apr 3, 2009 | post #23)

Chicago Bears can get Jay Cutler ...

Hester will get the deep ball, like he used to get from Grossman (Orton did not possess touch on the deep ball). Greg Olsen will continue to develop. And Earl Bennett is Cutler's former college teammate. A QB like Cutler will make all the WRs look better. And if the Bears sign Orlando Pace, they can primarily address WR, DB, and DL in the draft this year.  (Apr 2, 2009 | post #206)

Chicago Bears trying to sign tackle Orlando Pace

Guys move around the OL all the time. Putting Williams at RT for two years is not necessarily a bad way to let a guy get acclimated to the pro game. And suggesting that the Bears consider him a bust after a season of being injured is absurd. p.s. - Not everyone who gets cut is on the "scrap heap."  (Apr 1, 2009 | post #32)

Chicago Bulls' Tyrus Thomas bucks for all-defense team

From what I've seen lately, he keeps the ball in play more often than not. Certainly there are others who swat it out of bounds more often than Tyrus, including the great Dwight Howard.  (Apr 1, 2009 | post #7)
