You're right. I shouldn't worry about letting some clowns think they can get the best of me. These are just words on these posts. These guys could never say what they spew to anyone's face and get to repeat it.  (Mar 15, 2007 | post #1021)

Well first of all your math is very elementary. Dividing a number by 42 doesn't clear Bush Jr. like you think. The National Debt is actually above $8 Trillion now. Well first of it is not fair to blame George Washington Abraham Lincoln for our current national debt. Let's start from the World War II-shall we. From WWII to President Ford, the National Debt was from $0-<$1 Trillion, The National Debt reach 1 Trillion during Carter's term. It surpassed the $2 and $3 Trillion mark under Reagan. It surpassed the $4 Trillion mark under Bush I. It surpassed the $5 Trillion mark under Clinton. Under Bush, Jr.s term it has jumped passed the $6, the $7, and the $8 Trillion mark. The National Debt jumped the highest during Republican Presidency since the 80's President Clinton the growth decreased. Note the radical change in direction debt has taken since George W. Bush entered office. There is no question that the steepest upward rises in debt take place after President Reagan was elected when so called Conservative Republican Presidents are in office. So sure if you divide the national debt among all 42 Presidents- Bush doesn't look as bad as he really is. The Republican party has ruined America. Stop trying to reinvent history. In the last 2 years the national debt has increased $2 Billion. Bush's mismanagment has made things worse. Bush's deficit, call it deficit 'lite', counts borrowing from the 'public' (financial markets) but does not count borrowing from Social Security--which is huge. This ignores the fact that like public debt, Social Security contributions are actually an obligation that must be repaid. Most importantly, those funds should be helping to increase savings and investment in order to provide for the coming retirement of the large "baby-boom " generation. They should not be used for current government expenses. So don't divide by 42. Give credit to Clinton for actually lowering the deficit during his term and don't be so quick to let Bush say another "Mission Accomplished" when he's made matters worse. The U.S. government doesn't have any .org websites. The U.S. Treasury website is www.ustres.gov  (Mar 15, 2007 | post #488)

Is Lubbock Ready To Forgive The Dixie Chicks?

I don't want to share too much information. Quite frankly Lorenita, you shouldn't have your photo online. I'm sure there are many who have head or are heading to Hammonton to track you down to see you. There are many wackos out there. I'll be praying for your son. People don't know how much mothers suffer the most seeing their sons at war.  (Mar 14, 2007 | post #309)

Do you know how much better many communities would be if we spend that money here. Iraq never attacked us. Louisiana was attacked by Mother Nature and many are still waiting to get their lives back in order. It's o.k. to have healthcare for Iraqis but not for our troops at home and the middle class. I've seen the negative publicity of the bad doings of only a few American soldiers. 99.9% of our soldiers are doing a great job. It does't mean though that we are winning. We lost from Day One from the Biggest Lie in American History and especially from the Day Bush said, "Mission Accomplished. " Let's work to get our troops back safely by 2010. Enough is enough. We should not stay occupied in Iraq. We can stay and spend billions and billions more and things will still be screwed up there. There have been hundreds of wars in Persia. It's never ended good in that region.  (Mar 14, 2007 | post #463)

Muslims make up 20-25% of the world's population. Only a mere few in the 1.2 Billion of them have attacked America or its soldiers. Yet, we're making up 90% of the troops in Iraq stirring up more anti-American sentiment by Muslims and our Judeo-Christian allies worldwide in a war that was proven to have started under a lie. At what point do we realize that it will have to be Muslims who need to solve their own problems. Just like it will up to us Americans to solve our own problems at home first. We have our own problems at home.Every religion has its fanatics. Let's not create more terror in the hunt to stop terrorism. Let's not lose more freedoms in the defense of our freedom.  (Mar 14, 2007 | post #462)

Pentagon Struggles to Find Fresh Troops

The predetermined outcome Bush and Cheyney scripted was for the US to be seen as liberators and that we would win the war easily. Looks like the some bad cast members improvised and chose not to follow the plot. This movie is an action movie in the war front, drama in the media, and a comedy in the Bush Administration. This is a pretty long movie. I need to get more popcorn.  (Mar 14, 2007 | post #116)

I'm pointing out why Rudy and the other politicians won't solve illegal immigration. Produce will go up unless we (I'll repeat it again revise immigration laws that have farmers accountable to the transportation of their workers, the workers transportation, housing, medical, get deducted from their pay) (Make it illegal to see a house or car to an illegal alien, if you are a foreigner, you have to either be going for naturalization or have legal residents residing in it)Those are just some, not perfect of course. What solutions do you have other then deportation and a fence. Not all illegals enter by foot across the border. Think of a long term solution, not a short term solution. I'm also against Amnesty which what most likely Rudy will approve of. You are the only one in this forum who has already decided who they are voting for. It's free game to advise you that your candidate is not in line with your way of thinking. He's not even in line with my way of thinking.  (Mar 14, 2007 | post #1013)
