A Connecticut Public Library Being Urged Not to Carry Book

The fanatic's r back with a new idea how to dominate the public library & citizens of Cheshire. This time with a secret email petition for the rest of the grieving supporter for the murdered Petit women. The Library Bill of Rights do not exclude material/books because of the origin, background or views of those contributing to their own creation. Books & information presenting all points of view on current & historial issues. Books should not be removed because of partisan. This supremist group who r once again trying to harass us all, do not seem to agree with the First Amendment. I do feel sorry 4 them, but wonder if anyone of them realize how that closer won't ever come even after sentencing or maybe this is their way of group therapy! (Monday Dec 21 | post #18)

Dominance Over Cheshire Reading Class

I don't mind your typo's, your point is made clearly. What bothers me is the grieving group who are agitating the library and the public on a private personal adult matter. I read "The Wave" required reading at CHS about a group who tried to intimate others and finally realized that it was hurtful to others and themselves. To try to control a public library is one thing, but to publically condemn those who agree with the library is another thing. Yes, these people have taken it to far, just like those in the true story "The Wave" out of CA. Cheshire is a busy little political town. One shouldn't have to be afraid, but most don't want this type of radical group turning and exposing them by they self rightness. I've been personally attacked in speaking my opinion, too. Lets never forget that the baby in the manager grows up to be the man on the cross at Easter----and that Cross is the only reason Christmas really matters. If blacks want to believe or prove that their Jesus was black or Santa Clause or the Easter bunny, why correct them? In the town of Cheshire, CT, there is a group who have promoted the murdered Petit girls fundraiser for her MS murdered mother. Fundraiser's of all kinds that reminds all the town constantly of these poor murdered woman. Resently, one fundraiser that sold bags of sand with candles (Luminaries) paraded the gutters of CT state highway Rte. 10 and other Cheshire town roads, were moved after complaints and the mystique surrounding their appearance during the Christms season. Two defented meetings by this group to censored or removed a book "In the Middle of the Night" off Cheshire library shelves wasn't enoght from them to know about the First Amendment. Now they have taken a new course to get rid of this book. Private emails sent to only supporter of this group to sign a petition. Elimated from their count will be the 28,00 citizens who may what to read this book, may not care either way or feel so sorry for this poor greiving group. They just don't like anyone hearing what the other side has to say. Even the mentally diturbed, criminally insane have a right to be heard and to talk, but this group doesn't want anyone to read, draw their own opinion. Example: A high schooler reading this book was asked "HOW CAN YOU READ THAT? IT IS ALL LIES! The student replied" I'm interested in the story and how a criminal thinks" The supporter of this group just gasped and walked away. Before to long another lady approached us and said "Do you realize that an entire family, neighborhood and town suffered because of this murder?" The student replied " That's why I'm reading it!" This type of harassment continues and all who have or want to read it are afraid and hide. It's ironic how this group publicizes this murder for money, but the library, author & readers are condemned publically while being guaranteed their rights under the First Amendment. Concealing carry DOES WORK IN KEEPING US ALL SAFER! Some states have old laws drawn from past populus. I like the fact that one who has a permit to carry doesn't have to let everyone know it bc it has caused people to be concerned that the person is dangerous. The prosecution will win this delay request bc potential jururs r always asked questions to determine if they e selected or not to serve. This murder trial is no different then any other receiving publicity. The prosecution will win this requested delay, bc like other murder trials there has always been publicity. Potential jurors r always asked questions that determines if they will be selected to serve or not. Obviously, everyone wants the inevitable to come as soon as possible 4 these two murderers. To be urged not to read a book by the petit's, but to give $ to a fundraiser established in the name of petit's is ironic. Anytime after Thanksgiving is the start of the holiday season & any time up to New Years Day is recognize as the Christmas Holiday. Christmas is not a private fundraiser using out public streets. Nor do I have to explain what Christmas is to anyone, yet. Why would I have to explain, knee or pray to a statue of a man, which u must mean a statue of Jesus Christ Our Lord and Savior. No, I never did explain nor know about "LIVESTRONG " yellow wristbands and don't need ur constant info station of knowledge. I have a right to accept or not accept other people's opinions, but I certainly do not go out of my way to personally attack others. So, what revelance does all ur questioning have to do with "In the Middle of the Night"? I support the cheshirelightsofho pe & just suggested a different forum 4 this, which has happened.
