I don't put much stock in recruting rankings.....as a matter fo fact, Notre Dame supposedly had all these top recruting classes and they were terrible......it is all a bunch of hype driven to make money ! This is NO BS.....25 degrees at kick-off (usually only one game per year maybe never during a warmer fall like this year) your outside layer is numb due to the temp....so you can hit a lot harder...without feeling it...for a while......bad part....when you thaw out ! Imagine your hands stinging (same sand sensation like when your leg goes asleep) except it does not go away for about an hour...then the pain sets in from the hitting......insane Artie.....most of the kids now days are too weak to handle it ! Separates the men from the boyz...tough stuff to play in. I don't blame all of the whimps for never wanting to play in that stuff-most can't cut it !  (Thursday Dec 17 | post #22)

All I want for Christmas is a HOT woman and a COLD drink.....anything beyond that is just a BONus !!!! I's just a simpl boy....actually, I am buying a lake house in the motherland and I am watching HGTV to get some ideas for fixin her up.....we are going with the "lodge" motif.......very cool......I am naming her "Bubba's Buckeye Outpost"....f or summers and fall....in the heart of God's land....will be football haven.....on earth ! Have saved for about the last two years now becoming a reality ! What do you want CRAZY ?????????? What could someone who has everything possibly want ?? Thanks for asking though ! Artie-just tryin to splain to the world the realities of big-time foosball....gettin g much harder to recruit in the great white north...our demographical make-up does not support it....too many white farmers and not enough black slaves....Jimmie the Greek got fired for it but that is the reality. Still, year in-year out, we are usually closer to the top than most ! We'll sort this all out in a blizzard...eventua lly that will melt....you go sort it out in a hurricane....make sure your inflatable duckie is full of air and Thank God you aren't playin Iowa in the Capital One Bowl-even though Mr. Saban is not the coach, I am sure that they would like to send you out the the way they did last time ! They all go pro and NEVER even get to those games ! Santonio Holmes, etc. Michigan has never had this problem against the SEC (23-5-1 vs. them)......OSU gets great talent-they just don't stay for all 4 years...some like Na'Il Diggs was only there two years (Panthers) and Ryan Pickett (Packers)...Michigan as the numbers show....apparently has been able to keep them staying longer. Even that juggernaut LSU is only 1-1-1 against OSU and since Less has come....have not measured up to their predecessor....you guessed it SABAN. LSU is close to Texas and that has bode well in the reloading....they have good players in-state, just not the big numbers.....no real other schools of significance compete in their own state....in Ohio there are 8 Divison I programs, 5 Division I-A, 2 Divison II programs and about 60 Divison III programs. Not to mention that Notre Dame, Cincy, Michigan State, Indiana, Penn State and Michigan are all major recruiters in talent rich Ohio. Recently, the Bucks have started recruiting heavily in Florida and Georgia. Tough to recruit big numbers to reload...especially in cold weather climate.......most of the kids can't deal with it. It is definitely a challenge to throw the ball in 35 degree weather, wind chill 25 with 15 MPH winds.....that is why if you can't run the ball in the Big 10 you won't win and that has given way to the old 3 yards and a cloud of dust OR SNOW.....sooner or later you will have to play in those conditions and that REALLY separates the men from the boyz !  (Thursday Dec 17 | post #15)

Damn T-UF and Alabama are going to see more of this also. The last 10 years Juniors dump to the NFL....we sure could have used Beanie Wells this year....prior to that Ginn Jr., Hartline (Dolphins), Pittman (Rams), Gonzalez (Colts)....I can go on and on.....every year you think...NEXT YEAR and they ALL (Juniors) go pro ! We can recruit, but let's face it, we can't reload fast enough....we have led the Nation for the last 15 years of the sheer numbers of Juniors going to the NFL !
