I live in eastern KY, I am 19 and I drive an 02 Mazda Tribute whicch is all in my name, My insurance alone is 230, and some change per month for full coverage. that with the 12 - 15 mpg prices are getting unbareable. It sickens me to see new drivers with 40,000 dollar cars. I actually had a friend who wrecked and 05 Mustang GT, so his parents bought him and 07 gt convertible. Insurance prices are even higher because parents are buying kids these expensive vehichles that they don't have enough experience to control. therefore, being young and trying to make it on your own, it is virtually impossible. due to gas prices, Me and My fiance have decided to just keep one car, with gas, car payment, and insurance, it just cost to much to drive to cars when you have a limited income. and unfortunatley in our area thee not alot of job opportunity. just having one car will be very inconvieneint at times but it will also save us money. hopefully it works (May 29, 2007 | post #291)

Yesterday I was watching the news and I recall hearing about a price gouging bill, I wasn't paying full attention but it said the bill would stop the price gougingm but George Bush was expected to Veto the Bill. WTF also, I've heard that if the railroad company strike it is considered national security problem, I work for a small town newspaper, my boss told me her husband who is an employee for a major railroad company told hher that they can't strike.. apparantly there "not allowed" which seems odd to me, but apparantly it is a matter of national security. The time has come for me. I am trying my best to get rid of A small SUV (tribute). Due to the price at the pumps. With a car payment, and insurance payment, and a Gas payment it has become unaffordable. I am now paying as much for gas as I pay on the payment itself. I have an 02 Tribute, I love it! never had a problem out of it. The ONLY thing i hate is the gas mileage. it is a small SUV and it gets the gas mileage of a truck. I live in eastern KY in between many hills. I have estimated my tribute is gettin 12.7 miles per gallon. it cost me about 40 dollars to fill up. but it only last about 4 days just doing basic driving. a 2008 hybrid would be nice, i'm not a fan of the escape compared to the tribute, escape look kind of cheap in comparason but a hybrid tribute would be superb!
