Thousands Of Dead People On Connecticut's Voter Rolls
I can see the headline now. "Thousands Of Connecticut Dead Vote One of Their Own In, McCain Wins CT In a Landslide" (Yesterday | post #31)
State Police Investigate Death Of 7-Month-Old Baby
The state should not be taking children away from their parents unless there is a clear danger to the child. This is a ridiculous example of overstepping boundaries. If the parents smoke crack with the kid, take him away. But to leave him under the supervision of an 18 year old does not justify this action. Such arrogance to believe as a culture that no one is as good as we are at rearing children. Look at where this arrogance and self importance has gotten us, more dead kids with the blood all over the States hands. (May 20, 2008 | post #10)

Same-Sex Couple Blocked By H & R -- Gays and Lesbians, Tolland ...
I apologize for not memorizing the whole passage. It is amusing that people spend more time correcting me. It is amusing further how people only focus on the part of the passage that will support their belief. All I am saying is what you believe is fine. Just don't ram it down everyone's throat. The self rightous religious stuff is ridiculous as much as the you owe me attitude in society. (Mar 28, 2008 | post #183)
Same-Sex Couple Blocked By H & R -- Gays and Lesbians, Tolland ...
The idea that there are people like you who live their lives with blinders on to anything they do not like is more of a sin than anything else. Everything you do not understand or appreciate is wrong because a group of people told you it was. It's no wonder they say in church "The lord is my shepard" because you are sheep. Same-Sex Couple Blocked By H & R -- Gays and Lesbians, Tolland ...
I can't believe people are still upset about same sex couples. Aren't there more pertinent things to worry about in this world than whether two consenting adults who care for each other can use the word "married " to describe their relationship on a government form and get the benefits that other married couples get for that designation? Seriously? This is ridiculous. The fact of the matter is regular married couples haven't done anything to make the title of "married " sacred in quite some time. Look at the statistics, divorce is rampant, infidelity at an all time high? What makes the public qualified to judge? I think it's high time Americans pull themselves out of the gutter before they start worrying about the piousness of others, and I say this as a married, straight man, who is an atheist: When they were about to stone Mary, Jesus said to the villagers, "Those who have committed no sin, cast the first stone." To that everyone dropped their stones and left. It's your book, perhaps you should practice what you preach. (Mar 26, 2008 | post #19)
Life-Like Coyote Decoys Stolen In West Hartford
I wouldn't have taken them, but they certainly would have been re-arranged to look like it was mating season for Coyote. Or at best I would have made a sight that would make Sodom and Gomorrah proud. (Hey it's in the bible) :-) (Mar 20, 2008 | post #3)
Obama Speech Confronts Racial Division
I found his speech excellent and on point. There is much that he says that rings true. I myself have been guilty of being angry at being held accountable for errors I did not commit. I have also been around friends who I respect when they spout off about things that I disagree with. I commend his loyalty in the face of the firestorm and his head on approach. That to me more than anything shows the true integrity of the man. (Mar 18, 2008 | post #9)
Boy Accused Of Bringing Makings For A Bomb To School
I agree with the first two posts.. We greatly over react. Next thing you know, someone will throw me in the slammer for eating too many Capital Lunch Hot Dogs with sauce & cheese... mmmmmm..... Michigan Sauce... What was I talking about? (Feb 28, 2008 | post #5)
McNamee's Lawyer Predicts Clemens Pardon
While I believe there are more important issues than whether Clemens shot himself in the butt with HGH and other drugs, I find it disgusting that he could wiggle his way out of this with little or no consequence. I was hoping he would go into the hall of fame with Prison Orange on.. Now it looks like he'll go in with George Bush suckling on his chemically induced nipples. (Feb 14, 2008 | post #1)

Pledges' Prank Rankles At Yale
You are right, it was unjustified of me to classify you as a "nut case." Just as unjustified as it was of you to suggest I move to the middle east because I differ in opinion than you. I apologize for my comments, they were made more out of anger at a society that increasingly makes more of things that are minor in the scope of real life. You are right, I would not want my wife to be shouted at by some idiots. All I am saying is my wife would have the common sense to avoid the situation if she could, and she doesn't share the sense of entitlement that so many people have now that the world should live according to what they like all the time. I just don't share the same belief of you in this case. I really do believe that people interject their own created intent into what these kids did until it spirals into these kids being the filth of the world instead of just a bunch of bumbling hormone filled idiots. That doesn't mean I condone their actions.. If I had kids they would certainly be disciplined for this behavior, but the bottom line is, you may call them adults, but how many of us were really adults at 18? It's just a number, I know plenty of people twice that age that are still less mature than an eight year old. (Feb 1, 2008 | post #106)
Pledges' Prank Rankles At Yale
I do by the way, realize I should not drag The good Dr. King into conversations about a bunch of moron kids who like Yale women. My heartfelt apologies to Dr. King. You were a visionary too soon for your time. (Jan 31, 2008 | post #72)
Pledges' Prank Rankles At Yale
I am sorry I have to disagree with you. This was not an attack. It was a bunch of idiotic kids with a stupid piece of paper... That does not constitute a vigilante attack. We do things so backwards in our society and it allows people of your nature who have no self esteem to set the rules to be followed by the rest of the “sane” world. The worst part about that is we all just usually sit back and let the nut cases do whatever they want. By your logic, no men should be allowed to congregate anywhere because it may make someone who has been previously assaulted by a person who happened to be male uncomfortable. Do you realize the ridiculous nature of that? I am truly sorry for all women who have had horrible things done to them, as sorry as I am for all "people" who have suffered the same fate. It does not mean that these kids as stupid as their prank was should be considered criminals for a dumb prank. I am not condoning their actions, I am just not ready to throw the boys in the pokey, or make an example of them for the good of a feminist world. It does not mean that I do not have the utmost respect for women, my wife happens to be one, and she can tell the difference between a joke that was in bad taste, and bad intent. Most rational human beings can, unfortunately again, it is the non-rational sect of society that we hear the most from. It’s these very same insecure lunatics who are setting policy in our country. Was it in poor taste? Sure. Nevertheless, how insecure are you to take it to this extreme? In addition, why would you project your own insecurities in crowds of people or "men" as you say on others? I hate crowds of people also, I am a man, and so I choose to avoid them. If they chose to congregate in a place, I choose to go elsewhere. If I hear something on the radio I do not like I do not feel like the world revolves around me, I change the station. I do not write a letter to the station manager saying because I felt uncomfortable, everyone should. I feel as though too many people in general feel like the world owes them something, and that if they do not like something, everyone should not be able to do it. It is not a matter of good taste or bad taste; it is a matter of choice. Liberty is being able to say what you want to say even if no one likes it. Martin Luther King’s I have a dream speech did not say, “I have a dream that one day my children and women will be treated better than other children.” His dream was to be treated the same perhaps that should be all of our dreams.
