That's great advice--thanks...:) (May 2, 2011 | post #27)
Totally think this is a wonderful ordinance. Smoking can be harmful to other people, in addition to the smoker. (May 2, 2011 | post #1)
I agree with you, but it's very difficult when you are "one of the only one's." There's strength in numbers and, truthfully, the other Black people in my department were stratified (and I was the only African-American, which could have attributed to the lack of affinity). However, I definitely agree about not allowing the treatment and standing up for yourself... (May 2, 2011 | post #25)
Silly Zionist, the Israeli government gets 3 Billion a year. We subsidize your country's existence. (May 1, 2011 | post #61)
Well, I hope I'm wrong, but it sure felt that way...:/ (May 1, 2011 | post #23)
Yes, and Antisemitism has no place in Judaism either. Catastrophic Zionism is Antisemitism as it targets (Palestinian) Semites. Hypocrisy is hypocrisy. (May 1, 2011 | post #1220)
Well, they are typical "older siblings." I should know...:) (May 1, 2011 | post #1)
Well, the U.S. should freeze our money to Israel. Three billion dollars would be better spent on struggling American families and not fueling endless bloodletting in the Middle East. (May 1, 2011 | post #3)
...because you're worthy of His love. (May 1, 2011 | post #295464)
Well, one (female) professor was older, the other younger (late twenties). The younger one was actually worse. There were a few attractive non-Black women--however (not being vain) I definitely more attractive then most of the women in my program. There were two Black-Caribbean women and one Black-African man who seemed to along famously with everyone--they were fairly competent, but definitely not attractive. It could be the field but that was my experience. (May 1, 2011 | post #20)
Look, buddy, I could care less about your "420"-in duced delusions. If you're intent on trolling my board at least try to add something relevant. Otherwise, consider this my last response to you. (May 1, 2011 | post #19)
Sorry to disappoint but "Osama bin Laden" was merely an imaginary boogie-man created to justify (unjustifiable and endless )war. (May 1, 2011 | post #19)
Jus ad bello and jus ad bellum apparently mean nothing. It's pathetic what the love of money has done to man... (May 1, 2011 | post #2)
To be perfectly honest, Donald Trump is merely a diversion...He's the Carl Paladino of the 2012 Presidential Race...;) (May 1, 2011 | post #2)
Of course not, doing so would be an open invitation for legal action...However, I was sexually propositioned by several professors. When I did not reciprocate, their treatment changed. Several (females) professors would openly say that "being pretty" in my field wasn't acceptable (exact words, "a distraction") . Now, I don't dress provocatively--sto pped wearing dresses to lecture and wore my glasses...The treatment just got worse. It was a really horrible experience, but I'm finishing up my program (and considering a law degree). In any case, that's why I'm asking this question--wonderin g how many others have experienced this. (May 1, 2011 | post #15)
