One of the reasons sober living houses in Delray Beach Florida get such a bad reputation is that they often let their residents run amok along the streets and stores in Delray Beach. Some of the sober house residents are not classy citizens and will often spit on the sidewalk and smoke cigarettes constantly. If you see them at Publix, they come in a big white van and they are typically rude and obnoxious. That is why Delray Beach gets a bad reputation for sober living houses. That being said, not every sober living house has that policy of allowing their residence to shop in packs. For example, New Found Life Sober Living House only allows residents to go to Publix individually and not with a pack of people. The individual who has been sober for more than six months will typically show more respect than those in groups. If all sober houses in Delray Beach followed the New Found Life guide for respecting the community, we would not have this problem of sober living houses getting such a bad reputation. Be cautions when interpreting the map of the places that are "with President Obama in supporting gay marriage." Many of the locals have only one or two votes. This is not statistically meaningful. - Brett Loebel http://www.quora.c om/Brett-Loebel (Aug 9, 2012 | post #2)
In 2004, nearly 50% of 18-29 year old's opposed gay marriage. Today only 30% of 18-29 year old's oppose gay marriage. This demographic is important because these are the voters of tomorrow. Here's another interesting stat... 25% surveyed said they changed their views on gay marriage in the last eight years. A whopping 95% of those people that CHANGED their views changed from being against gay marriage to favoring gay marriage. Only 5% who were in favor of gay marriage 8 years ago have now come out against it. Like it or not, the tide is turning. In 20 years from now, Gay marriage may be the norm. You can fight it, but you are only postponing the inevitable. SOURCE: PEW RESEARCH CENTER APRIL 4-13, 2012 - Brett Loebel http://www.BrettLo ebel.com (Aug 5, 2012 | post #311)
Who do I vote for? Romney is against all the social issues that matter to me (although he used to me much more liberal when he was Gov. of Mass.) But I am not happy with the current state of the economy -- ans I suspect that Romney may be a better choice to fix the economy. Since the majority of Americans favor same sex marriage, Obama made a bold move by incorporating this into his platform. If Romney also favored same sex marriage (like he used to do when he was in Mass.) he could even up the playing field and have those people (like me) that are slightly leaning towards Obama to possibly change and vote for him. - Brett Loebel http://www.quora.c om/Brett-Loebel (Aug 2, 2012 | post #132)
Living and working in South Florida, I have many friends of Cuban descent. However, this is 2012 and most Cubans residing in Florida were actually born in the USA. A Cuban friend of mine recently confessed that he really does not care about Castro - whether he is alive or dead because Castro does not impact his life. But he can't say that to his parents who are memorized by the goings-on in Cuba. - Brett Loebel http://brettloebel .tumblr.com (Aug 1, 2012 | post #5633)
This is so ludicrous that even most people that oppose same-sex marriage know that this is bunk! - Brett Loebel brettloebel.blogsp ot.com (Jul 31, 2012 | post #84)
This girl needs someone to take away her cheese and chips for a while...if she gets hungry enough, she'll eat something else. If that doesn't work, give her her cheese and chips back -- but not until she's doen to 90 pounds. - Brett Loebel, SEO http://www.brettlo ebel.wordpress.com (Jul 31, 2012 | post #58)
These comments are getting way off subject. For 236 years, we've been an independent country. We've cut the cord many years ago. We are a country of immigrants from hundreds of other countries and I do not think it's fair to most Americans to strengthen Anglo-Saxon ties simply because that's who "owned us" more than 236 years ago. That being said, I personally love England and there is nothing wrong with strengthening ties to that great nation! But lets not forget about all other progressive nations. Strengthening international ties all over is good politics! - Brett Loebel http://brettloebel .tumblr.com (Jul 30, 2012 | post #180)
You have to drive quite a ways east to get to the nice part of Atlantic. WHAT??? Downtown Delray -- the strip with all the fine restaurants are (the "nice part") is just less than 1 mile from I-95. It's not such a LONG WAY. You don't "have to to drive quite a ways east to get to the nice part of Atlantic." It's 9/10 of a miile. - Brett Loebel, Delray Beach (Jul 29, 2012 | post #10)
