We're all apart of the Human Race but yet again some wacko comes up with crappy topics such as this. We complain about racism but we differentiate ourselves by light or dark. Come on now...  (Sunday May 4 | post #59)

Chicago Black Ministers Voice Support For Obama

"We are not a bunch of yahoo's who do not understand the importance of having a friend in the White House, nor are we silly enough to not vote on issues. I beg my fellow citizens to make your vote based on your future, not Barack Obama's. Hillary has been there for us, and she will continue to be there for all of us. Thank You, Robert, Concord." So voting for HRC isn't based on HillBilly's future?  (Sunday May 4 | post #3)

Saw it on the boards... "Look at all the money being spent on the "Get out the Vote" campaigns, if people are worried about the poor and homebound being unable to get an ID, why not use some ot the resources from the "Get out the Vote" campaign and redirect it to a "Get your Voter ID" campaign? There are currently groups that pick up voters each election and give them rides to the polls so they can vote. Could this not be done with getting an ID as well? The ID's are offered free to people who could not afford them, and who really in todays society can get by without a Photo ID of some sort. The answer is the LIbErals don't want photo ID because it would make commiting vote fraud more difficult. The "get out the vote" campaigns would no longer be effective means of packing the voter registration rolls with phony names so fraudlent votes can be cast. They argue that people might be disenfranchised if forced to show an id, but don't seem to care that with every fraudulent vote that a legitimate voter in the state has their vote negated by each fraudulent vote cast. They ARE actually being disenfranchised, there is no hypothetical there. The real issue is this: * The liberals want to keep vote fraud as a tool that they can use to help elect their candidates and promote their adgenda. * The conservatives want to elimate vote fraud so that the elections are kept fair. Conservatives want all people to be able to vote in each election, they just want to limit their votes to one." ...your thoughts?  (Friday May 2 | post #6)

The other argument I’ve heard against voter ID legislation is that it’s discriminatory in that certain people can’t get the cards. This point, I will concede. There are certain people who would not be able to obtain voter ID cards because of their citizenship status. Non-citizens (aka: illegal aliens) would not be able to get the ID cards and there is no problem, whatsoever, with that. The language of the U.S. Constitution reads, “The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied…” Please note the use of the word citizen: all citizens may vote, not just anyone who happens to be in this country on an election day." Don't seem much like a big deal to me  (Friday May 2 | post #5)

“Without doubt, thousands of otherwise eligible African Americans and other minority voters who would have wanted to participate in what is perhaps the most historic election in our lifetime will not be able to vote under mandatory voter ID requirements.” What are the requirements? Is it more than just going to your local DMV, getting your pic taken and paying a fee? That to me isn't too harsh but stupid especially if you've voted in the past without a photo ID. Hell if its that simple just do it- don't let them (the gov't) hold you back from making your vote- Just Vote! Kinda sounds like you have to pay to vote. Enlighten me, what is the real reason the gov't is trying to pull this move?  (Friday May 2 | post #1)

Former Democratic Leader Switches to Obama

"In a lengthy letter explaining his decision, Joe Andrew said he is switching his support because "a vote for Hillary Clinton is a vote to continue this process, and a vote to continue this process is a vote that assists (Republican) John McCain." "The ship is taking on water right now," Andrew said at the news conference. "We need to patch those holes, heal the rift and go forward to beat John McCain." "  (Thursday May 1 | post #3)
