Atheism, for Good Reason, Fears Questions

Correct. Add in, that these so-called "moderates " use the exact same ugly bible/koran. The *exact* same one the zealots use-- word-for-word. If the "moderates " were truly moderate as they pretend? They would freaking edit/modify the bible/koran to at least have disclaimers in the parts they are choosing to ignore. NC17 ratings and whatnot.  (8 hrs ago | post #20183)

Atheism requires as much faith as religion?

Yes. They voted for Hitler, too--in droves-- even though the Nazi party made no pretense of being other than what they were. There is some evidence that it was an "open secret" among the German public, once Hitler's programs of mass-death began; but those Genuine Christians™ would turn a blind eye-- after all, the Cat'lic Pope taught that Jews were "Christ Killers".  (8 hrs ago | post #267539)

Why Do Atheists Ridicule Christianity?

He's a demonstrated coward, so it's doubtful he'd do a face-to-face confrontation. No, I'd wager his approach would be of the set fire to your home while you slept, or some other cowardly act of terrorism. Likely if you did confront him in meatspace, he'd just pisshimself and run away. Later on? He'd brag about his "win" and how much he'd put you in your place. Pigeon Chess. He has, in fact, has bragged about "winning " in this very venue-- anytime someone destroys his claims(which is quite easy to do), later on, he'll brag about "winning " or "putting you in your place"... even though he had lost, and badly. He's sick-- and I'd actually be sympathetic-- if he had not brought it all onto himself. Willful Ignorance is an ugly thing.  (8 hrs ago | post #11042)

"Science vs. Religion: What Scientists Really Think"

No-- they are simply asking you for PROOF of this ... "god" of yours. Your god cannot stand those two words: PROVE IT.  (19 hrs ago | post #45844)

So-- you are not changing your story? Magic is your "answer" ? Gotcha. The BuyBull is full of Magic Spells. But here in reality? They NEVER-EVER work. Classic example: The Magic Spell of "Ask anything in the name of Jesus and it will be granted to you". NEVER EVER WORKS. Proof? The very fact that children of people who believe in that MAGIC SPELL, get sick and DIE ANYWAY. Magic is so 11th century...  (19 hrs ago | post #45843)

Why Do Atheists Ridicule Christianity?

E12 is a bona-fide stalker. Obsessive, even. I would warn you to look out for your safety, but you are not in the US, and so, relatively safe from the likes of him. But E12 will *literally* say *anything* to get a rise out of people-- he's best ignored.  (19 hrs ago | post #11036)

Atheism requires as much faith as religion?

Well, yes-- isn't that what they all do? All external visibility, nothing of substance?  (20 hrs ago | post #267534)

Atheism requires as much faith as religion?

Yep. Christianity assisted Hitlers programs. Germany was majority christian at that time-- and Hitler *never* would have had the successes without the support from German Christians of that day and time.  (20 hrs ago | post #267533)

I do not think the Buckster is Into. For one thing, he cannot post more than two in a row, without going off on someone. Into shows a kind of oddball consistency that buck never could manage.  (Sunday | post #45794)

I do not think so, no. Buck is ... buck. He really is a unique, if deeply disturbed (and fatally flawed) personality. Hard to describe, but unmistakable, once you've had the unfortunate experience. I think Into is one of the other posters who was banned a few years back, for posting threats.  (Sunday | post #45793)

Do you have a hammer and a cold chisel? That's about the only thing that can leave a mark on Buck's concrete-for-brains  (Sunday | post #45780)

On My Mind:

politics as an alternative to war, the problem with democracies is that you get EXACTLY what you vote for...

I Believe In:

Optimism. Human Beings. Human Culture. The eventual ability of people to see reason, beyond "scary eyes in the dark beyond the campfire". Humans are at their best, when striving to reach beyond their own self-imposed limitations--especially to help a stranger in need. Humans are at their worst, when thinking THEY are the ONLY person with "the answer".
