GLAAD slams Duck Dynasty's Phil Robertson for anti-gay re...

Exactly. He is what he is. Now leave him alone. A&E is way off base on this one.  (Dec 21, 2013 | post #195)

Republicans want NBC, CNN to pull Clinton programs

If we Republicans had anybody worth talking about, I am certain that the powers that be would talk. Unfortunately, we don't. My view is that Mrs Clinton, whether or not we like her politics, is a great American--a true patriot. And the media should embrace her. If the media makes a mockery of it, and the violins play, I will be so turned off. I probably won't watch anyway, and I do appreciate her work on behalf of our country.  (Aug 7, 2013 | post #88)

Weiner mayoral campaign falters; woman details sex chats

The guy is delusional and is lacking in the common sense area. Delusional if he thinks that his wife will tolerate the humiliation she must feel. Hmmm. Sounds like the perfect candidate, a weiner for sure.  (Jul 26, 2013 | post #9)

Alec Baldwin apologizes to gay group for tweets

This guy is an explosion waiting to happen. The way he cursed at his 11 year old daughter on the phone is indicative of this. I don't watch any of his movies because of his antics. He is a pompous ass. His beautiful young wife said that he went out during the disturbance and bought her a water melon. If I looked like her, he would buy me a water melon too.  (Jun 29, 2013 | post #1)

Weiner defends wife against prying GOP senator

Here we go again with this partisan nonsense. The repubs can get a lot more mileage out of Mr Weiner's muscleman show on the internet, unless they have their own issues on the internet that may open a can of worms. Just a thought.  (Jun 16, 2013 | post #1)

Weiner quoted trying to take credit for the term 'ObamaCare'

So what? He propositioned a 17yr old girl on the internet, and I cannot forgive him for that. It speaks to character and lack thereof. This was a public figure trolling in public for sex with a youngster--easy prey, maybe. The idiot should have enough sense to avoid kids, and stay under the radar when married, or at least try. And let's not forget that, as a public figure, he is exposed(get it?) to us. How could he possibly think that this would go unnoticed? A pompous guy he is.  (Jun 14, 2013 | post #6)

Irs Scandal Fallout: Officials Get Senate Grilling On Tea...

Interesting that the IRS people are being grilled AFTER THE FACT? What happened to our fabulous committees, the very committees that are supposed to oversee this kind of stuff? The very committees that were to oversee the housing bubble thing, etc.? Did they not learn from their experience? What up?  (Jun 2, 2013 | post #242)

Could Religious belief be considered to be a Mental Disor...

Are all these atrocities in the name of religion? The Vatican, if memory serves, is not involved in murder of innocent people. However, religious fanatics are very involved, and the response needs to be swift and final, in spite of the weaponry that is in the hands of the super powers. If you want to roll over and play dead, the result may well be other World Trade Center fiasco's. I would expect that Dr. Berlinski is a resident and not a teaching professor at the university.  (May 16, 2013 | post #106)

Atheism

Could Religious belief be considered to be a Mental Disor...

Why not, but only if one believes that one can murder innocent people because his or her religion allows for this sort of behavior. We should have no patience for this, since it has no place in society. Those who suffer from mental ills of this kind should be put out of their misery asap.  (May 15, 2013 | post #79)

Could More Base Closures Be on the Way?

Absolutely in America. Some of these bases are here only because a legislator is from that state and wants to feed the local economy. The cost to maintain them is prohibitive and they no longer serve any useful purpose. Our homeland bases can most certainly be consolidated and be effective. My view is that we keep our overseas bases, since they may be needed for our safety at home while responding to terror abroad.  (May 9, 2013 | post #19)

Could More Base Closures Be on the Way?

Many of these bases are nothing but pork for legislators who hail from those states, and may need to be closed because they cost us taxpayers billions and are not necessary in the scheme of things. My view is that money that we do not have is being thrown at these bases and has nothing to do with illegal anythings. Something could have been done with these illegal immigrants 20 years ago, when it was doable. Now it is too late, and we need another plan, since most have grown up here and regard America as their country. This is not their fault; it is the fault of our government. How do you throw 12 million people out? Round 'em up like cattle? They will scatter and the cost to find them would be prohibitive. I am open to any intelligent suggestions to resolve this catastrophe.  (May 8, 2013 | post #9)

Marketplace Fairness Tax on Internet: Not fairness, just ...

Since when is anything easy? Some states are already getting their share of the pie. I would think that a federal tax would help our beleaguered government in it's efforts to improve our financial situation.  (Apr 30, 2013 | post #25)

Government loan to Fisker to be scrutinized in congressio...

Apparently, the feds did not speak with anybody who has experience in the automobile business, and simply threw money at a venture that was doomed from the beginning. I have 30 yrs experience in this business and found it amusing that people with no understanding made mind boggling decisions without due diligence. Of course, when money grows on trees, why bother. And what a lousy name for a $100,000 vehicle.  (Apr 25, 2013 | post #53)
