I hear you! My husband suffered (and continued to work a gruelling construction job) for over 10 years with debilitating back pain. Had an MRI done in Jan. 08 - sent to specialist on Feb. 9th - surgery on Feb. 19th (he offered to do it the 14th, but I wanted to get "lucky" on the 14th - ; )! If Medford's back was "so bad"..... a specialist would have already had him on the table! And in no way am I saying that your back is not that bad GN!! Bobette--NO, the business the server works for DOES NOT pay servers a living wage. You are incorrect if you think that, and it is thinking like that which leads to a lot of misery on behalf of the service industry. My post DID NOT say anything about the business paying a LIVING WAGE - bobo. I, too, have many, many years in the service industry. But, you and I, and that little girl that wrote the LTE KNEW WHEN WE ACCEPTED THE JOB that the pay the employer would give us was $2 something an hour! Absolutely no surprises there. Any other money earned would be by our own fruition. Ya don't need any "college degrees" to figure out that it is up to the employee/wait person to EARN THEIR TIPS!! As I stated in my previous posts, it is MY responsibility of MY body, and I will account to MY GOD for MY ACTIONS!! BTW rebel, do you consider everything you do in your life - as to how you will account to God in the end? Such as stealing from your employer, be it paper, or a paperclip, or using the computer for personal reasons, or even a slight infraction of the law? My point, to wanda and everyone else is simple, my choices to do WHATEVER to my body are that.... MY CHOICES!
