Would it make sense to you to tax only income above the amount of money necessary to provide a REASONABLE/MIDDLE CLASS standard of living for each citizen and their family? Now this would be fair. This concept could be applied to our justice system. All fines would be weighted as a percentage of disposable income. Lawyers would belong to a pool, like jurors, where every case would be handled by a lawyer selected by a random draw from the pool. All lawyers would get paid at the same rate. Now this would be a fair justice system  (21 hrs ago | post #1328)

The difference is that we MUST have government, but insurance companies are an unnecessary evil. A further point is that the RWL's have been trained/brainwashed to speak of government as the devil. This is stupidity. The government is made up of PEOPLE. Many of these are apathetic clones that have no interest in doing their job(doing the bidding of the voters). However, the vast majority are good caring workers doing their job  (21 hrs ago | post #1327)

As you are well aware, the support for health care reform varies tremendously according to how the question is asked. As for your assertion that (62%) of voters oppose a single-payer system is nothing more than mis-information. Pose the following question and see how many oppose such a plan. QUESTION - "Would you support a health care plan that provides good coverage for everyone and costs less than we are currently spending"? Explain that the single-payer plan would keep the current delivery system in place and the federal government would be the sole insurer. This is a true single-payer system  (22 hrs ago | post #1326)

This is a very unusual post. I can not find anything in it that makes sense. Can you say the same thing with straight forward, to the point language  (22 hrs ago | post #1325)

Which planet have you been living on? The seniors voting bloc has more power than any non-corporate voting bloc in the country. Why do you think the RWL's use such extreme scare tactics when talking about Medicare and health care reform. Our illustrous members of Congress are more afraid of crossing seniors than any other voting bloc  (Saturday Dec 5 | post #1292)

If anyone's perception of the real world is from conservative HATE talk radio/tv, they have much bigger problems than who is running the country  (Saturday Dec 5 | post #1291)

Now this is a first. obskeptic posted an extremely sarcactic comment and you are not smart enough to recognize it. Typical RWL. Spout only garbage and do not be concerned with truth and reality. Thanks for justifying my skepticism for ANYTHING you post  (Saturday Dec 5 | post #1290)

Come out of your rabbit hole and see the real world. Ask ANY working family if good, affordable health care is a priority to them? I understand that if you are well off this is not a problem. However, a huge majority of our working citizens are not well off  (Saturday Dec 5 | post #1289)

As ususl, your post contains nothing but wild scare tactics to mis-represent the effort to make health care more efficient by providing necessary information that can be accessed by other health care providers. This could make health care more effective and less costly. Your post is absolutely untrue, but even if it was true, it may be a good idea. Animals already have tags to track them. There are many RWL's on these forums, if they BELIEVE what they post, would be rated lower in ability to think than some of these tagged beasts  (Saturday Dec 5 | post #1288)

Another mis-informed poster. The only reason health care costs have become so outrageously high is because the much touted MARKET FORCES only work for the rich and powerful. Affordable(for low to middle income WORKERS) Health care is an absolute necessity for any economic recovery that would benefit all citizens. Are you not aware of the fact that health care has been priced out of reach for many low to middle income WORKERS? These people know full well that health care availability is more important than wars, taxes, immigration, etc. As for regulation, most of the problems we have are/were created or made worse by de-regulation. Remember the myth of TRICKLE DOWN ECONOMIC THEORY? Even Bush elder called it "VOODOO" economics  (Saturday Dec 5 | post #1287)

Since I deal with reality and do not have an infallible crystal ball, it is impossible to adequately respond to your delusional conjecture  (Thursday Dec 3 | post #1264)

Why do you persist in posting RWL conjecture and call it "facts and easily documented"? Nothing you have posted is anything more than RWL spin. My post that stated your post was nothing more than conjecture was in response to your post that stated/inferred "Obama's fervent desire to take over the entire healthcare industry". My interpretation of a statement like this is that it can not be "fact and easily documented" unless you have a time machine that transports you into the future. Do you RWL's have such a machine? If so, go into the furture and bring back the actual proof that your claim is true. This is about as credible as many of RWL's other delusional rants  (Thursday Dec 3 | post #1263)

As usual, more mindless RWL conjecture. Please refrain from posting propaganda that you can not substantiate with facts. You are further tarnishing you credibility  (Wednesday Dec 2 | post #1255)

Typical. I post what is true and factual and your response is nothing more than conjecture. As for your assertion that Congressional leaders/members are selling out to corporate lobbyists is absolutely correct. As I have posted earlier, we need to reform our system of government. No paid lobbyists, no campaign contributions and term limits  (Wednesday Dec 2 | post #1254)

Where can I find CREDIBLE evidence that most are wishing GW was still in charge. I doubt that MOST of GW's family and diehard supporters, RWL's, would want him back. According to GW's popularity when he left office, less than 30% I believe, your post is just more delusional RWL mis-information. Or did you just purposely lie to feed the brainwashed mind of the poor, uneducated, unthinking RWL sheep  (Wednesday Dec 2 | post #1253)
