Good Luck America

It's what Obama followed. 8 years of Bush/Cheney. Remember when Hugo Chavez entered the room after Bush and said "I smell sulfur"? Now that is a terrible presence, actually, it probably took one to know one.  (Dec 12, 2014 | post #6)

You've got me there. I suppose it's because he lacks a spine. Compromise only applies when the Dems are caving. Back to having a spine, I am very disappointed that he did not push harder to close Gitmo and move detainees to US and conduct trials. In my opinion he should have had Holder prosecute the war criminals in the previous administration starting with Baby Bush and Cheney. His {can't we hold hands and all get along} has certainly served him well. All things considered and given the same choices {Palin, you've got to be kidding} I would still vote Obama.  (Dec 12, 2014 | post #5)

Once again the cons are up to their dirty tricks. Enron loophole anyone? The omnibus bill funding the Gov. has been sabotaged {weakening of Dodd/Frank} {increasing campaign funding} just to mention two issues, a great Christmas gift to Wallstreet and the wealthy. Do some research before you reply with your knee jerk fact-less opinions.  (Dec 11, 2014 | post #1)

RIP Tomas Young 1979-2014

I repeat, you don't know me and you are an ignorant ass. I am acutely aware of the current and recent events in the Mid-East. Where did ISIL sprout from? You say you know my kind let me tell you what I know about your kind. You do not deal in facts. You do not believe in science. You deny climate change is man made. You don't like regulations that protect the consumer and the environment. You are an angry shoot from the hip Bushie.  (Nov 14, 2014 | post #6)

RIP Tomas Young 1979-2014

You don't know me and I doubt you know the story of Tomas Young. It is obvious that you are an ignorant ass. I have never forgotten for one moment Viet Nam and the 58,220 deaths of U.S. soldiers. BTW they were drafted to fight an unholy war in a God forsaken land. A loved one of mine [a kind innocent 18 year old young man] was sent into a jungle to kill the enemy assuming he could distinguish who the enemy was. He was lucky in the fact he did not return in a bag. The scars he bears may not be visible but trust me he is seriously damaged. I did not approve going nor staying in Afghanistan or Iraq. Actually it could be said that we would not be involved in either country had it not been for Baby Bush. I am anti war period, but especially, the wars we were lied into.  (Nov 13, 2014 | post #4)

RIP Tomas Young 1979-2014

Iraq war veteran Tomas Young died this past weekend after 10 years of horrific pain. He was featured in the film "Body of War" available on Netflix. This is a good day to remember Tomas and all the wounded and deceased veterans of Bush's Iraq War, [the biggest military blunder in US history.] Remember "no WMDs here ha ha ha" ?  (Nov 11, 2014 | post #1)

Christy in F-town?

Concerning the food: since I'm not in Las Cruces, Santa Fe or Albuquerque I find Los Hermanitos' red chile a good local substitute and the wait staff excellent., as for the owner , I'll take that into consideration.  (Oct 30, 2014 | post #5)

While I won't sign on to the personal insult since I could afford to shed a few pounds myself and I'm very fond of brown people. I do appreciate the info concerning the owner. I have a strong aversion to tea- baggers.  (Oct 30, 2014 | post #4)

Christy in F-town?

Imagine my disdain to learn Martinez and Christy were going to be at my favorite restaurant, [Los Hermanitos West] today. I wonder who he will insult with his shut-up routine. He is such a class act. Although, I don't think Dems need to worry, he won't be able to shake Bridge Gate and his personality will not sell with civilized people.  (Oct 30, 2014 | post #1)

Are plumb eat up with the dumba$$, unable to recognize sarcasm? You probably don't even know who Paul Ryan is. Could you have possibly meant moral turpitude instead moral certitude? noun \ˈt&# 601;r-pə- ˌtüd, -ˌtyüd\ tur·pi·tude : a very evil quality or way of behaving  (Oct 3, 2014 | post #26)

Not true. He came well qualified. No silver spoon in his mouth. Highly educated. Great orator, not dumbing down for his audience like his predecessor. Worked in the projects of Chicago, where real people live. Duly elected Senator. Obviously a family man. When I heard him speak for the first time at the National Democratic Convention I knew he was destined for something great. Has he disappointed me? Yes. He tried too hard to play nice with people committed to seeing him fail, he caved to easily to the Right, just to mention two.  (Oct 2, 2014 | post #18)

Don't for get that homeless man is a "taker not a maker" to quote the great Paul Ryan. I pity you, for you truly are confused. Have you considered getting help?  (Oct 2, 2014 | post #16)

Personally I thought electing the first black [yes he embraces his color] president a giant step for America. Maybe it meant we had moved beyond the ugliness of the past. I was so wrong. What it did was bring back the not one drop of blood thinking from centuries past. We are more divided as a country now than anytime since the Civil War. It brought out the true racist feelings of people whom I didn't even know harbored them. I have heard such horrible things such as: "Where is Lee Harvey Oswald when we need him?" "Abraham Lincoln is responsible for this Prez" I will spare all the N-word epithets. Needless to say I choose my company very carefully in SJC it is a lonely place open minded, tolerant, liberals.  (Oct 2, 2014 | post #13)
