Accident at Gold King Mine

Albuquerque, NM News, Weather and Sports - KOAT Channel 7 koat.com EPA confirms Colorado mine spill contains heavy metals www.koat.com This outrage against the EPA is ridiculous. I'm as upset as anyone over the accidental release of toxic mine water in to the Animas River. Everything should be put in perspective. You yahoos hating on the Government can't wait to cast blame. It's the EPA now but if possible by tomorrow you will claim Obama was operating the equipment. Immediately people lined up to sue the EPA before a damage assessment was even made.. Everyone from the esteemed Governor to the half acre farmer. I talked to an environmentalist today and he had gotten info from others. It does not seem to be as bad as first thought. So far they have not found dead fish. Water from Navajo Lake was released to push and dilute. We all need to take a deep breath, myself included as much false info is being circulated. Of course all of the money grubbers will want to make impact surveys in order to secure a piece of the pie before we will get our water back. We need more EPA. Turn the ditches back on now. By the way The Animas was hardly pristine. Ecoli anyone?  (Aug 11, 2015 | post #1)

poor sales person customer service skills

An over weight friend of mine in the market for a new vanity car walked into Hi Country Chev. in Aztec, NM, recently. She was wearing clean albeit slouchy clothing. While admiring a Corvette on the showroom floor she was totally dismissed by the salesperson. His prejudging probably cost him a cash sale. Rather than shopping locally she will travel to Albuquerque, find a courteous salesperson interested in making a sale and buy a new Corvette.  (Jun 25, 2015 | post #8)

Fox Anti Christian

I was raised in home where the bible was the word period.....Very fundamentalist . I'm still traumatized by the hell-fire and brimstone preached to me as a child. I remember a lot of the scriptures and how literally they were applied. When I hear so called Christians demonizing the poor, sick and needy, hating anyone different than themselves, especially the current one half black President It doesn't set well with me. I no longer subscribe to my childhood teachings. Thank goodness my sweet mother is no longer here to see the heathen I've become. Christian = Christ like......  (Jun 10, 2015 | post #7)

Yes, some are. A big difference is that they don't tend to spout their religious views from the roof top as the Evangelicals do. Some Libs are agnostic, atheist and Christian. Polls show that the young [20 - 40 year old] are trending toward less religion. They also tend to believe in climate change and science in general more than their elders do. They are certainly more tolerant gays and other minorities.  (Jun 10, 2015 | post #5)

Andrew is a Christian, gay, conservative man. I have followed him for years and admire his critical thinking ability. That does not mean that I agree on some issues, yet it is so refreshing to find a con that is able to think and articulate.  (Jun 10, 2015 | post #4)

Sanders More Popular Than Every Republican Contender

Yes an interesting article. Sanders has been my favorite senator for years. He along with Warren best represent my personal views, however, when things get down to the wire I will vote for the Dem that has the best chance of winning. To elect any of the current con lineup will be utter disaster. The debates should be great entertainment.  (Jun 4, 2015 | post #3)

It appears that sarcasm is not recognized. It can't be helped I suppose. I have my opinions and theory of why we are now a dumbed down nation and feel totally powerless to stop the snowball. My 6th grade spinster teacher is rolling in her grave.....  (Jun 4, 2015 | post #14)

I don't mean to be judgmental or unkind, I simply have no interest in the details nor do I consider it news. If a certain element of society [and obviously they do] wait with bated breath for the next installment they should buy the Enquirer or Star or go to the numerous salacious web sites reporting on Paris, Anna Nicole, Lindsey, Kim, Caitlyn and on and on. I resent the time that the so called news channels spend on this drivel...  (Jun 4, 2015 | post #8)

BREAKING NEWS, READ ALL ABOUT IT. Bruce Jenner is transgender. God a mighty I'm tired of hearing and reading about it. This is not news, it is not important, it is not a blip on the radar screen. He made his choice to go public, fine, now move on and cover some real news. Honk if you agree.....  (Jun 3, 2015 | post #1)

Barack Obama COUNTDOWN Clock 1000 days left & counting

Maybe we should pity him/her since he is obviously mentally ill, suffering from dissociative identity disorder, formerly called multiple personality disorder. Sybil, Eve, Primal Fear etc.?  (May 14, 2015 | post #429)
