Woodland Chamber endorses school board measures

The district had the money for all these normal maintenance repairs but pissed it away on other things, ie salaries. Try this same crap with your mortgage holder. Tell them you've had a leak in your roof for the past five years but rather than fixing it you shot out to cache creek twice a month and pissed away a wad of cash. Now the leak got so bad that the walks and the floor are shot too and it will cost $97 Million to fix and they need to send the money right away. Make sure that you promise, (fingers crossed behind your back), that every bit of the money will go to fix the house and not to the Indians.  (14 hrs ago | post #1)

Vacaville leaders approve contract with Local 39

Unanimous decision, that means they all need to go. The taxpayers cannot afford to keep giving more and more money to the tax takers. They are just like leaches, if you get too many leaches sucking the blood out of the host the host will die. What are the leaches going to do then?  (14 hrs ago | post #1)

Mediator helps city, union come to an agreement

BUUULLLL SCHITTT When you are enjoying your extra month off in the south of France do you think we are going to believe that the city will call you back to unplug a stopped up drain? If you actually do get called in during your off time the pay rate is three times the already rediculous rate of pay and for the most part there are more than enough volunteers who are eager to collect that huge pay. Ps: nice to see that you refer to yourself as a "COV Emp", if I would have read "COV "WORKER" " I probably would have laughed so hard I would have spit wine all over my screen.  (14 hrs ago | post #5)

Vacaville pet venue not just a shop but an "experience"

I don't think the lambs are doing that much playing anymore. Remember, idiot, they are in the freezer. Once I close the door and the light goes out, (or does it stay on), I'm not real sure what happens in there nor do I care so long as nobody gets out.  (15 hrs ago | post #3)

DUI checkpoints planned this weekend in Vacaville, Suisun...

Who said anything about what I "Think"? The way these checkpoints are being operated and the results make them BARELY legal at best based on the Supreme Court ruling. A genuine DUI checkpoint is legal based on the SCOTUS ruling but a drivers license checkpoint is not and is specifically noted in the ruling as such. Just because a group of judges have an opinion that does not make something constitutional. Judges have been overturned and the makeup of the Supreme Court does shift from time to time.  (15 hrs ago | post #11)

DUI checkpoints will occur tonight

Sorry, Wrong again. No State Farm insurance for me but if I did want State Farm I dam sure wouldn't call J.O. As a matter of fact I think Jer's failing little insurance business finally went completely down the tubes. A year or so ago he had to downsize the office space and recently I've been by his house a few times in the middle of the work day and the State Farm J.O. NGV POS is parked either in the driveway or in the garage.  (15 hrs ago | post #18)

Vacaville Police make arrests at DUI checkpoint

The only portion of the community being helped are the cops collecting overtime, the tow truck drivers and the impound yards for hauling and storing cars and of course the city of Vacaville for the revenue generated by writing mire tickets. Cha-Ching.  (15 hrs ago | post #2)

I hope they do well, Jason is a real good kid and has always seemed to be a go getter and good worker.  (Tuesday | post #1)

Mediator helps city, union come to an agreement

If the city clowncill doesn't reject this boondoggle outright they need to be recalled ASAP. The proposal for these whining vastly overpaid premadonnas gives them an extra year to repay the amount that they have already been overpaid, something no other employee group got and then they get an EXTRA 24 DAYS OFF WITH PAY on top of their already quite liberal attendance policy. I guess they're trying to get a part time schedule with full time pay and benefits like the teachers get.  (Tuesday | post #1)

Ernest Kimme: Has Vacaville bitten off more than it can c...

So how many of these no growth whiners live in houses that were complained about when they were built by the earlier generation of no growth whiners? I'll bet almost all of them. Their attitude is "I've got mine so the hell with everybody else".  (Tuesday | post #1)

You are completely delusional, (or totally brain dead which I believe is the case), if you really think that these checkpoints have anything to do with safety.  (Tuesday | post #8)

Does Birds Landing Bob need to be committed ?

I think what Leann has is a blow up dng and even after inflating it to 100psi when she tries to use it it rattles around inside like a BB in an empty boxcar.  (Tuesday | post #30)

The odds are, tanker safety needs to be discussed

Ernie is just a complete idiot, but that is nothing new. Contrary to what the moron would have you believe there are no huge oil fields in Roseville producing thousands of barrels of crude and then storing it all in rail cars waiting for someone to buy it. All of the oil in the tank cars in Roseville got there in the exact same tank cars and rode the rails to get there. Maybe even some of it. Came from Bakersfield and already passed through the county once. There are thousands of barrels of oil and refined products such as gasoline, diesel, jet fuel, propane, butane, etc that travel by train through the county daily. Not to mention the thousands of barrels that pass through the pipeline that runs right next to the tracks. This is nothing more that a shakedown by the local governments to steal some slush money from the refinery or. The railroad.  (Friday Sep 26 | post #2)
