Who Is Allah?

In the prophecy of the virgin birth, Isaiah 7:14, the prophet Isaiah declared, "Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and will call Him Immanuel." This prophecy refers to the birth of Jesus in Matthew 1:22-23, "All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: 'The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel' which means, 'God with us.'" This does not mean, however, that the Messiah’s name would actually be Immanuel. There are many names given to Jesus using the phrase “He shall be called,” both in the Old and New Testaments. This was a common way of saying that people would refer to Him in these various ways. Isaiah prophesied of the Messiah, “His name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace” (Isaiah 9:6). None of these titles was Jesus’ actual name, but these were descriptions people would use to refer to Him forever. Luke tells us Jesus “shall be called the Son of the Highest” (Luke 1:32) and “son of God” (1:35) and “the prophet of the Highest” (1:76), but none of these was His name. In the same way, to say that Jesus would be called "Immanuel " means Jesus is God and that He dwelt among us in His incarnation and that He is always with us. Jesus was God in the flesh. Jesus was God making His dwelling among us (John 1:1,14). No, Jesus' name was not Immanuel, but Jesus was the meaning of Immanuel, "God with us." Immanuel is one of the many titles for Jesus, a description of who He is ^^ That is why it is important to actually study the bible, because without the guidance of the holy spirit, people are easily deceived.  (Oct 12, 2012 | post #152640)

CONTINUATION: ( Not my words, but they do a much better explaining than I can ) "Jesus is never recorded in the Bible as saying the precise words, “I am God.” That does not mean, however, that He did not proclaim that He is God. Take for example Jesus’ words in John 10:30, “I and the Father are one.” We need only to look at the Jews’ reaction to His statement to know He was claiming to be God. They tried to stone Him for this very reason. “… you, a mere man, claim to be God” (John 10:33). The Jews understood exactly what Jesus was claiming—deity. Notice that Jesus does not deny His claim to be God. When Jesus declared, “I and the Father are one” (John 10:30), He was saying that He and the Father are of one nature and essence. John 8:58 is another example. Jesus declared, “I tell you the truth, before Abraham was born, I am!” The response of the Jews who heard this statement was to take up stones to kill Him for blasphemy, as the Mosaic Law commanded them to do (Leviticus 24:15). " John reiterates the concept of Jesus’ deity: “the Word was God” and “the Word became flesh” (John 1:1, 14). These verses clearly indicate that Jesus is God in the flesh. Acts 20:28 tells us, “Be shepherds of the church of God, which he bought with his own blood.” Who bought the church—the church of God—with His own blood? Jesus Christ. Acts 20:28 declares that God purchased His church with His own blood. Therefore, Jesus is God! Thomas the disciple declared concerning Jesus, “My Lord and my God” (John 20:28). Jesus does not correct him. Titus 2:13 encourages us to wait for the coming of our God and Savior, Jesus Christ (see also 2 Peter 1:1). In Hebrews 1:8, the Father declares of Jesus, “But about the Son He says, ’Your throne, O God, will last forever and ever, and righteousness will be the scepter of your kingdom.’” The Father refers to Jesus as “O God” indicating that Jesus is indeed God. In Revelation, an angel instructed the apostle John to only worship God (Revelation 19:10). Several times in Scripture Jesus receives worship (Matthew 2:11, 14:33, 28:9, 17; Luke 24:52; John 9:38). He never rebukes people for worshiping Him. If Jesus were not God, He would have told people to not worship Him, just as the angel in Revelation did. There are many other verses and passages of Scripture that argue for Jesus’ deity. The most important reason that Jesus has to be God is that if He is not God, His death would not have been sufficient to pay the penalty for the sins of the world (1 John 2:2). A created being, which Jesus would be if He were not God, could not pay the infinite penalty required for sin against an infinite God. Only God could pay such an infinite penalty. Only God could take on the sins of the world (2 Corinthians 5:21), die, and be resurrected, proving His victory over sin and death. In addition, Jesus believed that He had the authority both to alter and even overrule several parts of the Old Testament (Mark 7:15; Matthew 5:21-22; 19:8-9). Such statements would be ludicrous coming from anyone other than a divine Person with divine authority. Jesus also stated that His forthcoming resurrection from the dead would vindicate the very special claims that He made for Himself (Matthew 12:38-40). After having been crucified and buried in the tomb of Joseph of Arimathea, Jesus did, in fact, rise from the dead, establishing His claims to deity.  (Oct 12, 2012 | post #152639)

Who Is Allah?

When jesus says I am he, he means he is God. John 14:9-11 - Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, 'Show us the Father'?” When the people say show us The father, He says do you not recognize me? He who has seen me has seen the father. Because Jesus is God. The father, the son, and the Holy Ghost. John 1:1 - "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." So we get from this that in the very beginning, there was the word, and the word was with God, and the word Was God. John 1:14 - "And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth." So, If the word is God, then if the word became flesh that means that GOD became flesh, and lived among us. SO those where my words, but I am going to now quote something : " There are both internal and external evidences that the Bible is truly God’s Word. The internal evidences are those things within the Bible that testify of its divine origin. One of the first internal evidences that the Bible is truly God’s Word is seen in its unity. Even though it is really sixty-six individual books, written on three continents, in three different languages, over a period of approximately 1500 years, by more than 40 authors who came from many walks of life, the Bible remains one unified book from beginning to end without contradiction. This unity is unique from all other books and is evidence of the divine origin of the words which God moved men to record. " " Another of the internal evidences that indicates the Bible is truly God’s Word is the prophecies contained within its pages. The Bible contains hundreds of detailed prophecies relating to the future of individual nations including Israel, certain cities, and mankind. Other prophecies concern the coming of One who would be the Messiah, the Savior of all who would believe in Him. Unlike the prophecies found in other religious books or those by men such as Nostradamus, biblical prophecies are extremely detailed. There are over three hundred prophecies concerning Jesus Christ in the Old Testament. Not only was it foretold where He would be born and His lineage, but also how He would die and that He would rise again. There simply is no logical way to explain the fulfilled prophecies in the Bible other than by divine origin. There is no other religious book with the extent or type of predictive prophecy that the Bible contains. " I will post the remaining in a second post.  (Oct 12, 2012 | post #152638)

Actually Jesus says he is God in many places in the bible such as : Matthew 1:23 - “Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.” Isaiah 9:6 - For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Isaiah 43:10,11 - “You are My witnesses,” says the Lord, “And My servant whom I have chosen, That you may know and believe Me, and understand that I am He. Before Me there was no God formed, Nor shall there be after Me. I, even I, am the Lord, and besides Me there is no Savior.” John 1:1 - In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God... 1:14 - And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, John 8:58 - Then Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.” John 10:30-33 - Jesus answered them, “I and My Father are one.” John 14:6-7 - Jesus said to him, “I AM the way, the truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” John 14:9-11 - Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, 'Show us the Father'?” Acts 20:28 - (God purchased us with His own blood) Revelation 1:5,6; Revelation 5:8-9 - (Jesus' blood purchased us) 2 John 1:7 - For many deceivers have gone out into the world who do not confess Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist. Revelation 1:8 - “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End,” says the Lord, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.” John 15:13 - “Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one's life for his friends.” Romans 5:8 - “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Acts 3:13 The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his Son Jesus; whom ye delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let him go The entire old testament, prophecied Jesus' initial coming. Such as when God asked abraham To take his only son up to the Mountain and give him up as an offering. It was a symbol of what God was going to do for us through Jesus Christ. Why would the trinity be so hard to imagine or Jesus as God, if you believe God is almighty then that should be no sweat of his brow to do these things! You really shouldn't narrow your God down so much. the Bible was written by about 40 different human writers who lived over a period of about 1500 years (50 generations). Many of these writers had no opportunity to collaborate with each other and yet, there are no contradictions in their writings! Like no other book, the writers all agreed on such themes as morality, child rearing, husband and wife relationships, the character of God, the way of salvation and the birth, life, death and resurrection of the Saviour of mankind, in minute details. You see, I would rather have faith in this, than to put my faith into something that only ONE crazy man wrote.  (Oct 12, 2012 | post #152622)

Who Is Allah?

There is actually quite a lot in the Bible where Jesus declares himself God, for instance : Matthew 1:23 - “Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.” Isaiah 9:6 - For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. I, even I, am the Lord, and besides Me there is no Savior.” Isaiah 44:6 - (God is the Redeemer) 2 Peter 1:1 (Jesus is the Redeemer) - “To those who have obtained like precious faith with us by the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ” John 1:1 - In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God... 1:14 - And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, John 5:17,18 - “My Father has been working until now, and I have been working.” Therefore the Jews sought to kill Him, because He not only broke the Sabbath, but also said that God was His Father, making Himself equal with God. John 5:23 - that all should honor the Son just as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him. John 8:24 - “Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for if you do not believe that I AM He, you will die in your sins.” John 10:30- Jesus answered them, “I and My Father are one.” John 14:9-11 - Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, 'Show us the Father'?” Acts 20:28 - (God purchased us with His own blood) Revelation 1:5,6; Revelation 5:8-9 - (Jesus' blood purchased us) 2 John 1:7 - For many deceivers have gone out into the world who do not confess Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist. Revelation 1:8 - “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End,” says the Lord, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.” Hebrews 2:17,18 - “Therefore, in all things He had to be made like His brethren, that He might be a merciful and faithful High Priest in things pertaining to God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people. For in that He Himself has suffered, being tempted, He is able to aid those who are tempted.” John 15:13 - “Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one's life for his friends.” Romans 5:8 - “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Acts 3:13 The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his Son Jesus; whom ye delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let him go the Bible was written by about 40 different human writers who lived over a period of about 1500 years. Many of these writers had no opportunity to collaborate with each other and yet they all say the same thing. I'd rather trust this then one book written by one crazy man.  (Oct 12, 2012 | post #152621)

Who Is Allah?

Hello. Well it was a mixture of my own writing, and others writing that I agree with. As followers of Christ we all get tempted, and it was not because he wasn't trustworthy, it was because the devil was trying to make him sin because if he sinned all that he accomplished at the cross would not of happened. & a lot of things can be more satanic than that because that is not satanic. The bible wasn't written by pagans, God said if you practise pagan rituals it was an abomination. The bible wasn't broken, so why fix it by letting a crazy self proclaimed prophet write a New one. I hope you find Jesus Christ, and stop worshipping a God that doesn't exist. Not because I want to be right, but because The God of Abraham Jacob and Isaac loves you, and that God happens to also be Jesus.  (Oct 11, 2012 | post #152581)

No Muslim can think of profaning holy Prophet (PBUH): Altaf

If anybody talks anything about Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), he or she should be killed at the spot. Nobody has any right to talk agains Islam" -- "Islam teaches none violence " No offense, but do you realize how stupid that sounds? You say kill someone because they say something against your "Prophet " yet in the same sentence you say Islam teaches non violence. Who Is Allah?

Mohammed was possessed by demons. He was visited by an angel of light ( The devil masquerades himself as an angel of light to deceive )He was so terrified, and he was frothing from the mouth, and often times that he would see crosses he would start to have seizures. That doesn't sound like an angel sent from God to me, that sounds like demonic possession. One of allahs name is the greatest of deceivers, "And the devil that deceived them" Revelation 20:10. One of the Names for allah is " The most proud " In the Bible Lucifer (Satan) was cast out of heaven because of his Pride: Isaiah 14:12-15, Ezekiel 28:13-19 The 99 names of Allah: 62 ا&#1 604;م م&#1 610;ت Al-Mumit: The Bringer of Death, The Destroyer In the Bible, Satan is the Destroyer: 1 Corinthians 10:10 "Nasikh" is the concept that newer revelation cancels older revelation. Today Muslims, who understand the principle of "Nasikh" deceptively quote the Koran to trick the media into thinking Islam is peaceful and tolerant of non-Muslims. The Koran, like the Bible, has an "old testament", that is abolished and not used as law and a "new testament", that is used by Muslims today. The abolished sections of the Koran were written in Medina when Muhammad faced his disciples to pray towards Jerusalem in an effort to sway the Jews to convert to Islam. It was during this time Muhammad taught toleration towards non-Muslims. When the Jews rightly told Muhammad to take a hike, he killed them and as a "snubbed and jilted lover" suddenly instructed his followers to forget praying towards Jerusalem and start praying towards Mecca. During the Medina phase, Muhammad taught toleration towards non-Muslims. During the Meccan phase, Muhammad started teaching "death to non-Muslims". Muslim leaders (Imams) deliberately quote from the abolished "Media" sections of the Koran when, for a short time, Muhammad preached tolerance, in a manipulative ploy to convert the Jews. These Imams know that the later sections of the Koran when Muhammad was at Mecca, preach death to non-Muslims. So basically, what most non- muslims do not know is that 1. Muslims are allowed to lie to non-muslims if it furthers the goal of world domination of Islam. and 2. All the nice stuff that muhammed says is cancelled out by what he said near the end of his life. The nice stuff is there to deceive people into getting into the religion in the first place. "In many cases they (Muslims) do not even recognize what sin is. Their Perfect Model Muhammad was a robber, a murderer, a fornicator, a pedophile, a wife beater, a truce breaker, a liar, and one who had his enemies assassinated. We not only reflect the character of our heroes, we will reflect the character of our god, and Allah cannot be trusted completely. He is distant, capricious and changeable; he is not a loving father but a demanding taskmaster; he is cold without unconditional love; he hates the sinner and the corrupt, and predestines everything with seeming legalistic arbitrariness countenancing violence and the killing of all those who will not submit to him." Although Islam is a monotheistic religion, it is really a pagan religion reformed and repackaged into monotheism. Islam is paganism in monotheistic wrapping paper. Muhammad chose one god, from among hundreds of pagan gods, to be his one monotheistic god. "Islam is Polytheism with a monotheistic veil" On a last note. " Fight them until all oppostition ends and all submit to allah " Qur'an 8:39 "Behead and Slaughter those who dont believe " Qu'ran 47:4 In the bible Revelations 20:4 " And i saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus and for the word of God" ( this has begun to happen)  (Oct 10, 2012 | post #152531)
