SB 5 petitioners raise $7 million

typical anti unionist proponent! If SB5 becomes the law of the land, not just union members lose. Every worker in ohio loses. Many times what unions negoiate end up in non union jobs. Not just money! Think like fait work rules, over times, 40 hour work weeks, paid holidays, vacations to name a few. All of these issues were championed by unions. Until the unions made an issue of being able to go to the rest room. Safe working conditioins also. But go ahead! help make SB5 a reality! B9ut don't you dare complain when you have to work sixty hours a week and get paid for forty! Don't you complain when you have to see a doctor and you get fired! Unionized workers have helped to make your work place safer and more humane!  (Jul 30, 2011 | post #56)

House OKs debt-ceiling bill; Senate scuttles it | The Col...

Excuse me! But both sides are failing to compromise! The only way to get out our budget woes is to cut spending and raise money! both sides have refused to either cut spending, or raise taxes! They refuse to enter to give up their pet stands to end this thing.  (Jul 30, 2011 | post #20)

Boehner can't get votes on debt ceiling | The Columbus Di...

Gee in my house, I first cut out uneccessary spending, then I find a new revenue source. Cutting my expenses helos but only the point where my family's welfare is harmed. Where I have gotten riod of the second car. Where my wife i feeding us mac and cheese instead of meatloaf, we rent a movie instead going to a movie. But there comes a time when I have to ask my employer for a raise, find a second job, or sell some stuff. But the point being, I look at the whole picture so I can continuie to have a life.  (Jul 29, 2011 | post #37)

Insurance-paid birth control? Religions react

if a catholic wishes to follow the teaches of their faith, then they can continue yo not use birth control. For the rest of us who faith is not catholic, or is one which allows birth control, we woould appreciate it if you would allow us to practice our faith with out catholics and others telling us how to practice our faiths. An insurance company can decide on its own accord whether to offer birth control, or any other medical proceedure as they are secular, not fsith based or religous.  (Jul 25, 2011 | post #94)

Verdict reached in Cleveland case involving 11 deaths | T...

Looks to me that he has a ready made appeal, uneffectual counsel at trial. Don't get me wrong this guy did the deed and should be punished, either by forfieting his life or being confiend to a mental hospital for the rest of his life. He is obviousy mentally ill or why would he have killed so many women. Although I am noit certain what type of defense his attorney cold have put on, not to just opened the door for an apeal.  (Jul 22, 2011 | post #15)

Despite plans, 2 retailers bail on West Side | The Columb...

The real story is that these retailers have gone on to so called greener pastures. If some one wants to buy clothing, buy books, or any of the thousand and one things people buy we now have to go to tuttle. There are many hard working families, that have good incomes that live on the west side. But because of the short sightedness of the retailers or as in case if the meijers can't keep their employees from robbing them blind we now ihave to go to either walmart or drive miles out of our neighborhood to buy the thingus we need and want! Please note all of these decisions we made before the casino was even considered to be resited to the west side! Maybe we to show these two retailers what we think of them by not shopping in their stores. Hell when they have their going out of business sale let's not participate! Make them have to spend more money to leave the sight than to stay! ople have tons of throw away cash!  (Jul 20, 2011 | post #12)

Health law promoting medical cooperation | The Columbus D...

I think quite a few of you miss the point of the article! Sharing health care information between all of your practioners will allow them to better treat you! if you get better treatment you don't spend so much money on health care. That is the biggest thing the artical said to me.  (Jul 18, 2011 | post #97)

Supplier choice proves costly | The Columbus Dispatch

I don't get this! I really don't! I have one gas line. Since columbia gas reads my meter it is their pipe that runs to my house. I haven't seen a second pipe for columbia's competition. So my point is since I don't have a secwond pipe2 or a gas tank for the competitor how dow I know I am getting other than columbia gas? I think this is one of biggest scams in the world as I a consumer have no way to ascertain which gas is being fed to my home! At least when I buy gas for my car I know which company is providing my gas. 1How can I make certaian that what I am getting is what I have bought. a scam is a scam is a scam!  (Jul 17, 2011 | post #5)

Reprimanded teacher runs out of 'last chances' | The Colu...

wrong! a union can and does protect competent teachers from incompetent administrators. Administrators who target a teacher because she disagreed with him in a meeting! But P guess only union people are incompetent.  (Jul 13, 2011 | post #24)

There was no comment about the union at all. It sounds like the school system did the best thing it could when yo9u9 consider the cost both financial to the school district and emotionally to the kids.  (Jul 13, 2011 | post #20)
