Isaac is at home and gaining weight like a real champ. It is very possible that he will grow up to be a healthy little boy with little to no long term issues. Chelsie is still struggling along. We are about half way through her adventure. We have surgery, radiation and stem cell transplant left. Hopefully we will be done by the middle of summer. Thanks for asking. Since Isaac came home we have been real busy. Our house seems way smaller. (Mar 21, 2007 | post #43)
Your sad story doesn't work... Although you have exagerated much about the life of a pregnant teen, this fable is pointless when you include the young lady's right to give her baby up for adoption. I know it is easy to forget this choice when you have an agenda to push. Not too PRO-choice of you though. (Mar 21, 2007 | post #42)
How does a vulnerable, innocent infant's life compare to a proven murderer's life? They are similar in that they are both human, but that is where the similarities end. The criminal must face justice. He made a "CHOICE" . The innocent infant made no choice. Your comparison is lacking. It is like saying that in order for YOU to be prochoice, you must advocate the choices of all people to kill those that they dislike. The variables change the stance that one holds on an issue. No one holds the same stance on every issue in the world. That would be truly silly. (Mar 21, 2007 | post #41)
I can't believe that there is even a debate over this. The same people that use the right of a woman as their rally cry are against giving these young troubled women MORE information. "No let's just keep them dumb to what is really inside of them." The same people that say that the "tissue" inside of these women looks nothing like a human, are afraid of the impact that this might have on a young confused woman. If these "tissues " look nothing like a human, what are you worried about? It should be easy for these women to differentiate between a piece of tissue (or tooth) and a living baby. By not offering every bit of information there is out there to these young ladies, you are taking away their understanding. They may not see the ultrasound at the clinic, and see other's ultrasound's later in life causing immense guilt. If the pro-abortion crowd was a true advocate for the women (and not planned parenthood) they would want each and every woman to have full understanding (knowledge) of the consiquences of each choice, not just the consiquence of keeping their child. They don't hesitate to scream about the miserable life that the mother and child would spend together, but making sure that the mother understands what the consiquence of the choice for an abortion is----that is somehow trampling on her rights? It's not meant to be that way? If by "meant", you mean that GOD didn't mean for us to abstain from sex until marriage, then you haven't done much research on this God fella. If, on the other hand you mean the we evolved in such a manner as to not have the ability to abastain until marriage, I would say that their are many, many examples to the contrary, including Pete. Unless those that abstain are somehow inhuman. (Feb 6, 2007 | post #724)
I do agree. Unfortuanately some find that killing an innocent child to be a necessity, does that fact give them the right to murder? Just as some find it necessary to kill their spouce. There are all kinds of messed up people in the world. (Feb 4, 2007 | post #558)
Let's just use the post that we are tlking about, shall we? (Feb 4, 2007 | post #557)
The not so funny part is that most of the pro-choicers give more value to the life of an animal than the life of a "fetus". (Feb 4, 2007 | post #4923)
You, as many do, make the assumption that in order to be proud of who I am, I must think less of others that are different. You are wrong and in my opinion need to be more tollerant of thoughs that are different than you. I am different than you because I am proud of who I am, and don't have a problem telling people on a internet forum (where you can't see the other person, and sometimes it takes a while to figure out "who" they are)who I am and what I am about. I am sorry that I am different than you. (Feb 4, 2007 | post #28)
I chose to display this for people like YOU. If I was any minority what so ever and I stated a similar description of myself, my pride in who I was would be glorified. But, because I match the description of a sect of society that is supposedly never discriminated against, I told "why can't you just be a human" instead of a staright, white, Christian, male. It never fails, and is really quite telling of our siciety. Can yo uimagine the outcry from the bleeding hearts if we had a "straight pride day", or "white history month"? I think that it is great that people have pride in who they are, but I resent the fact that I am frowned down upon when I take pride in who I am. You are most intollerant of others. If some see jumping off a bridge as a necessity, I will not feel sorry for them when they hit the bottom. If one's perception is that messed up that they think that sex is a necessity, they need to be institutionalized. (Feb 4, 2007 | post #538)
And I'm sure your vast knowledge will tell us that these happen in most first trimester aboritons? Please. (Feb 4, 2007 | post #537)
