OMG - I got a hand-made, big oriental rug -BEAUTIFUL-$30!!!W eighs a ton. Got a designer -replica- purse. Good God, I'd never pay what the real thing is worth - not even an Aigner. For two years I woke up to both of my girls screaming at the foot of my bed. I personally think that was one of the biggest tests of my constitution/menta l health/sanity. They're 51/2 years apart and the older got the younger out of the crib. Can't lock anybody's doors - but how nice, a hubby who'll bring you a cup of Joe! BTW - during my garbage sailing I stopped at Rutter's and got pumpkin spice cappa...YUM!!! And I am now certified, addicted to Swedish fish; I payed $2.50 for a small bag. Pure sugar. My hubby and me are getting ready to completely rearrange the LR - it's a 22x14 - please pray for us. We've been married three weeks and had our first marital argument over a futon last night. I love flowers; this year was my first year ever to go all out. Birds, too. I really need to sit down and write out all that I learned. Now, I just want to learn more and more. We should start a new thread - Carol1 and others would probably jump in. Later.  (Yesterday | post #462)

All-time Favorite Rocker

Yesterday was the 54th birthday of my favorite all-time rocker. I fell in love with him when I saw him on the cover of a heavy metal magazine in '78. I'm not going to say who. I still have a crush on him. Let's talk about our all-time favorite rocker and why. I would love to read about any personal fact/tidbit you might know about him/her. That would be cool. I'll start: MFR (my favorite rocker) rode around in an old beat-up car in his early youth. I think it was minus the one door when it was done. In his mansion today is that car, impaled in the wall, with the A>Z>Z> end sticking out!  (Yesterday | post #1)

I second that. She's bright and competent but doesn't go around slingin' it. That's one of the signs of true class in anybody. Good Morning Fellow Posters: 'its me..., Pork, Chel, Oh...Al..., S&S, Mouse, and everyone else, even 3Gens who I think has become a snob (blowing a kiss);-) I'm going to go to a garbage sale (s) - have a good Sat. morn.!!  (Yesterday | post #452)

THAT IS ONE marigold - planted in a little pot. I kept replanting it until I knew it had to go in the ground. It's a bigger monster now. I've thought about calling my local paper to see if they want to put it in the paper. Looks like something from Three-Mile Island - a mutant thing.  (Friday | post #434)

A father remembers his son

I had to regain my composure to type this. I'm supposed to be going somewhere this morning. I sat down to read this quickly and somehow I just need to be still now. I am touched by your letter to say the least. It was a privilege to read your account of the relationship you treasure with your son during his 15&1/2 years. You are a wonderful man and father. I hope you found comfort writing this tribute to your precious gift from God - your dear son, Ethan.  (Friday | post #4)

me_me: I went to Greencastle Coffee Roasters yesterday - that was an experience. I got Columbia Supremo, Butter Rum, Cinn. Hazelnut Cream and Chocolate Macadamia Nut. Columbia - smooth as a baby's bottom. Also got one of the Frank Zappa T-shirts - WWZD? AND...I got something I wasn't expecting, too. I'm a gummy bear addict - their Sweedish Fish are out of this world!!! I was in Heaven all the way home.;-)  (Friday | post #416)
