plato's closet

I haven't been there, guys. But the one in Charleston, SC (where I'm from) was great. I always could count on a good deal. Even if I felt a price was a little too high, they were willing to make a deal for me. Not that I was cheap, just that a second-hand store is just that, SECOND-HAND. If a piece of clothing is obviously seen a few days in the sun, they would recognize that, and decrease the price for me. It is sad to think that all Plato's stores do not practice the same policies. I don't just mean bargaining for a price, but the customer service itself. I really appreciate sites like this that spread like wild fire, the GOOD and BAD of the community. Especially for us new guys. Thanks for all the opinions.. keep up the good advise. Even if you don't think it makes a difference to these businesses, it really does.  (Feb 20, 2010 | post #24)

Another "Operation Green Blizzard" Arrest Made

OK, wait. I agree with all of that, and I stand corrected as far as the decision being made. I guess what I was trying to say was that since it is illegal, then why are there so many still fighting for the legalization? I guess it will always be a situation where you can't please 100% of the people 100% of the time. Regardless of what the law is, I stand strong on not breaking them. That's just my opinion. I love my family and life and freedom too much to lose it on ANYTHING!  (Feb 18, 2010 | post #88)

Another "Operation Green Blizzard" Arrest Made

I have no opinion one way or the other about the legalization of marijuana, but it would be nice if a decision was made, and permanetly to thus end the controversy. I can see both sides' arguments. The only thing I can say is that if/when other crimes are involved along with it's uses, (e.g., theft, robberies, vandalism, etc.) then action should be taken.  (Feb 18, 2010 | post #77)

Corvette plant closing?

I agree with Cobalt. I drive parts for corvette from GA and SC to Bowling Green. No plant there equals job relocation for me. It does have the domino, snowball effect. I feel for those that have kids and have to uproot their foundations just for a their job. I happen to love Bowling Green. The people are nice as can be and BG seems to offer everything I want. It is always a sad thing to see things like this happen. I, however, am used to seeing it over and over. I worked out of Spring Hill, TN, and watched that town go in a different direction after their closing of GM. And here we are again, with the same rumors that 9 times out of 10 become realities. I don't know how BG was BEFORE GM, but I do hope the best if/when the closing occurs. BG is a great place, and you all should be proud to live here. Best of luck to anyone affected.  (Feb 17, 2010 | post #26)
