Hi Io. Still waiting for that picture!!!! Going into the fall I got really busy with life outside of Topix. Our daughter's school and activities, work, ect... We have a house up in the local mountains and those fires came too close for comfort. When we were allowed back up we spent a lot of our free time doing yard work to clear any dead brush and pine needles out of the area although if there was a fire close by, not much could be done. But it's nice to be back and see that most of my Topix friends are still around. I missed all of you!  (Jan 29, 2008 | post #27267)

Bush is an ALL TIME LOW (Chapter III)

I watched Bush speak late last night. I actually dvr'd it knowing that I would not be home when it was live. I was currious what he had to say about the economy, Iraq and so on. What I got was one big yawn. Same rhetoric with the same big applause from the cons while the dems sat on their hands. One more year and the Bush run is over. I'm ready for the change. But I'm not too excited about the crop of candidates we have in line for the job. Hillary would keep the nation polarized, I don't know enough about Obama other than he is a hell of a speaker and the republicans don't seem very republican although they will all tell you that "I'm the most like Reagan". Anyone else concerned about who is next?  (Jan 29, 2008 | post #909)

Thanks Rods. It's been a while. It's time to have drink and do some catching up. Also, what a nice name for Lady Of The Pacific! How about this crazy weather Lady? It is so windy!  (Jan 27, 2008 | post #27234)

You are absolutely correct. I forgot that I can't spell a lick and had messed up my own name! How are you Matt? Do you still bump around the politicals? How about Holysmokes and IW? Do you still see posts by them? I sure miss all of you and I'm glad to be back!!  (Jan 26, 2008 | post #27218)

Hi Flower Child! I think that Austin has one of the best music scenes in the country. I bet you get to see a lot of great bands.  (Jan 26, 2008 | post #27215)
