N.Y. man: Entergy lied about shortfall

It's easy to make an argument against Entergy without resorting to appeals to fear. This is why, despite the fact that I consider myself an environmentalist, I can't stand the staunchly anti-nuclear crowd in Vermont. Not because I don't agree with them (I don't), but because they are dumber than a box of rocks.  (31 min ago | post #5)

Police Roundup

How do you decide someone's bail is $858? Add the four, carry the one, voila, eight hundred fifty-eight.  (1 hr ago | post #3)

The collapse of the a global warminga scam

The best part of the entire silly article is where he suggests New England should welcome global warming because it will disadvantage ski areas to the south. LOL.  (1 hr ago | post #24)

Letters

I'm not sure how you arrived at that conclusion. If you said "Wow, Bob writes to the editor only to regurgitate pedestrian, cliché ideas." I might be inclined to agree with you. Maybe that's a little harsh. I sometimes enjoy reading his stuff, but come on. The whole "The earth doesn't need saving, humanity does!" idea is so uninspired and overused.  (18 hrs ago | post #3)

Fielder retiring after 37 years with Planned Parenthood

I find the irony in someone accusing an organization of a "failure to education" with (at best) marginal literacy extremely amusing.  (22 hrs ago | post #16)

I agree, building cities in the wrong place is causing sea levels to rise. Curse you, New Orleans!  (22 hrs ago | post #13)

Fielder retiring after 37 years with Planned Parenthood

I wonder how many moronic abortion-related arguments were made against Planned Parenthood, despite all of the important services they offer.  (Monday | post #3)

The doubt industry

The opinions expressed in this thread are almost exclusively moronic. If people started shouting about the global climate while in line at the supermarket, I might expect a similar discussion. The problem with discussing complex issues online is that they're usually far more complicated than most people are willing to admit. If you approach a discussion on global climate change with the attitude that, "I have all the answers because I read some literature online," then the discussion is already pretty much over, and will decay into childish banter momentarily. Then again, expecting or even hoping for a rational discussion in an anonymous forum is its own special kind of insanity.  (Monday | post #125)

The doubt industry

My understanding is that the US commitment to that $100 billion is contingent upon increased Chinese transparency with regard to their efforts, or lack thereof, to decrease their carbon emissions.  (Friday Dec 18 | post #114)
