Isolationism on the Rise in the USA
Stop ALL foreign aid immediately. Take that money and build a 40 foot high wall around the US with 1 gate. In 10, 15 or 20 years open that gate and see where the dust has settled. (8 hrs ago | post #3)
Sorry, I can't attend. I have to work to pay my bills, put food on the table and pay my ever-increasing taxes. (8 hrs ago | post #4)
Too long to read all the responses. In this case, I can't see why the HOA can't make an exception here. I also like the idea that all the supporting HO's put a flag pole in their yard, too. But, let's keep in mind that before you move into one of these communities, you are made aware of the HOA's rules....although I don't know why you would ever want to move into a place with these crazy rules. I wondered how long it would take.
Is this guy a US citizen? (Sorry about my ignorance here.) If he is not, he has no constitutional rights. They are reserved for citizens. (15 hrs ago | post #5)
Poor oneeye! But, I'm sure we'll like you oneeye1. Jim (15 hrs ago | post #4)

All I want for Christmas is my Two Front Teeth
Actually, there were two. both where Main or Huegenot meet at both ends. How do I remember this? My father, who plowed the lakes, also used to check the trees each night for bulbs that were out or stolen from lower branches. He used to take me with him. (He worked for the Forestry Dept...when NR had one.) (16 hrs ago | post #12)

I forgot those windows were animated. We used to stop at each on the way home from Blessed Sacrament when we were young. They were top shelf! (16 hrs ago | post #11)

Yes, remember those town decorations that stretched acroos Main St with the big lit up star and the bells on either side? You don't see decorations like that anymore. The town seemed festive in those days. BTW...my Dad worked for the DPW and used to plow the lakes at NRHS and at the beginning of Pine Brook Blvd (forget the name) when they had snow on them but enough ice for skating. St. Luke's serves up holiday meals for free in Stroudsburg
Yes, Vin, you say it so simply. I'm just not into it. (Tuesday Dec 1 | post #116)

I was waiting for this point of view. You are, of course, right. I think for people like me and Vin, we just don't want to be the one to look into that animal's eye and pull the trigger. Nothing wrong with eating meat and killing animals for that meat. I just don't choose to kill the animal myself. (Tuesday Dec 1 | post #115)
