I know for a fact that Nanette reads these. I don't need to share my name with you because frankly I am entitled to my own opinion whether you know need to know my name or not. This post was started because someone was curious. More power to them and apparently there is a lot of people who had similar thought on their minds. Open your eyes... and I think most people will agree with me...it's summer time... there is not a lot of people out in the bar right now so the slow of the slow bars are really starting to hurt. As far as Kurt is concerned...he is a sweet guy, I can't feel sorry for him anymore - especially after that incident. The Trenton post is just as good and brining up the same points minus the ones about the girls. LOL, got to love forums.  (Jun 18, 2009 | post #39)

I am laughing out loud. This thread has to be my favorite. Christine, sweetie, you have to be the only one that says you have always gotten paid, how? Out of the drawer? Tisk, Tisk...be careful. She will hand you a 10-99 at the end of the year and guess what....means more trouble for you because I am sure you do not run your own bartending service where you have a tax id number. Karma is a crazy thing... ;)  (Jun 15, 2009 | post #21)

Man who bit ear off

I agree that the families are being drug into this and this is not their problem. They are now just being represented in a horrible way. Here are the facts... we are all entitled to our opinions and this site lets us speak them in a hidden way. Who cares who each of us are, are we no better than the topic we are talking about when trying to harrass someone on their true idenity? I agree with a lot of you and disagree with some. It's also interesting to see how out of town people feel about it whether you like Highland or not... or whether you used to live here or not.  (May 19, 2009 | post #51)

New Business Openings in Town?

So the tattoo shop is really coming into town or is already here? Who owns it? It went into the alcohol shop across from Poplar Junction? Was I reading that correctly? Thanks for the info!  (May 13, 2009 | post #13)

OH MY GOD!!!! LMAO!!! So funny!!! It was all pre-meditated. He told the bartender he was going to do it. She didn't believe him. Who does a Mike Tyson like act on someone who was involved with your family for years. Ugh...Dumb.  (May 13, 2009 | post #11)

$13 Million Cable System

I think the fiber is going to help businesses and residents more than we can all see right now. I wish everyone would be more opened minded about it and if you are not knowledged about it, get into the know! If you haven't noticed, Charter (who, lol claimed bankruptcy) has been in the area quiet a bit just trying to update and make sure their equipment is up and running. They knew Fiber was going to be an option here very soon...they are scared!!! BE SCARED CHARTER! Game over.  (Apr 29, 2009 | post #68)

What business is it of yours to tell me that I should mind my own. Seriously... it was a question and a statement and I was curious! Isn't this another reason this site is here? Not to argue and fight with the same people on every topix? Mind your own business... serious case of internet rage.  (Mar 25, 2009 | post #12)

Election Year

I have heard several people say this is a very "uneventful " election. Possibly because no one has heard of any candidates running, if there are any. The only signs I have seen are for the Fiber to the Home initiative. I agree...bring on the coverage!  (Mar 17, 2009 | post #4)

Do you two get on here to talk to each other? Every topic you two are screaming at each other or calling each other names? What's the deal? Don't you have something better to do?  (Mar 12, 2009 | post #4)

Jimmy's RailShake Inn-Ladies Night Every Wednesday!!!

LOL! Okay let's face it...every bar in Highland has had it's good and bad days. Everyone deserves second chances and here is Railshake's. Yes it is unbearable at times when the place is so crowded you can't make it to the bar or the bathroom! I wish Jimmy had the availablity to expand but by things out of his control he can't, plus who can afford anything like an expansion right now? You have done amazing things to the place and the improvements you have made only shed more light on what you want to do! For the regulars, stand your ground...you love that bar! Thanks ;)  (Mar 3, 2009 | post #18)

New Business Openings in Town?

I also know there is a Wells/Fargo opening on the south end of the square. With this - there is a purse shop opening up as well! Right next door! Thank you for all the info! I am really curious about the bakery!! The building where Wayne's used to be is now GTS. I agree I miss Wayne's cookies!  (Mar 3, 2009 | post #5)
