They Give You Your Money Back If You Make It All The Way Through? Must Be Good... (Sep 23, 2008 | post #2)
I never shop at Kroger for just that reason. There are always multiple over charges, and like you said if you try to get it corrected they get utterly disgusted! My mother has the same problem with Kroger in Bardstown, but she's just used to the procedure. (Sep 9, 2008 | post #14)
Has Anyone Had Any UFO Sightings?
I was just curious if anyone had and UFO experiences in or around Nelson County. I had bookmarked a really interesting story that took place in the late 50's or 60's. Two young men in the Samuels area had a close encounter with a UFO in a field. But when my computer crashed I, of course, lot all that information. My mother said she remembered hearing about that sighting, she grew up in Samuels. Does anyone else remember hearing about that or have another UFO story? (Sep 8, 2008 | post #1)

So did they ever catch the person that made those phone calls? What did they get? (Sep 7, 2008 | post #44)
Where is the cemetery on Bennett Lane located? I had been there years ago on a genealogy trip, but recently I had trouble finding it. You can't see it from the road anymore if you could ever. (Sep 7, 2008 | post #1)
Eddie Miles is amazing. Now that he's married and moved back home does he still have and perform in his own theater down in Memphis? (Sep 7, 2008 | post #3)
Are you talking about how they change the traffic circle around Lincoln? I haven't been to Hodgenville in a few years, and when I saw the photos of the new "Sruircle " in the photo gallery I was shocked! I think they destroyed the small town charm of the former circle. Why did they do this, was it due to traffic problems? I'm from Bardstown, which has a similar circle in the town center, around the former courthouse. If they decided to change it I would die, even if there are a lot of idiots who can't seem to read yield signs or decipher how to get around it! It adds to the integrity and charm of our historical small town feel. Here a pic of the Bardstown Circle http://www.topix.c om/album/detail/ba rdstown-ky/ULTI5LF 8KVU78793 (Sep 7, 2008 | post #2)

I recently went down to St. Joe's Cave for the first time in years. It was very nice to see the opening of the cave and listen to the creek running. I was very glad to see it was cleaner than I remembered, no graffiti this time :) I didn't go into the cave though, I had forgot my flashlight and it was pitch black 3 feet into that sucker! I remember this one time when I went down there as a kid someone has set up a Buddhist Shrine down there. It was surreal, I didn't even know we had Buddhists in Bardstown at that time. There were all these little figures of Buddha. We left in a hurry, haha, didn't want to interrupt someones worship. Has anyone went back in there very far? I know it goes all around town. Here's some pics I took http://www.topix.c om/album/detail/ba rdstown-ky/783GOP6 78D4VP7G8 (Sep 6, 2008 | post #1)
Wilson Creek @ Harrison Fork Road
Well, I was unable to find any pics of the creek crossings on Harrison Fork Road. So I decided to go for a drive through the country and ride back there. It was fun driving through the creek. There were more crossing than I remembered (4 all together), and I was able to get up the inclines just fine with out 4 wheel drive. It brought back memories of being a teen and parking the car down in the creek, hanging out with friends, and washing the cars. It's nice to just go for a scenic drive now and again. I took some pictures of the creek crossings and uploaded some to the Bardstown photo gallery. http://www.topix.c om/album/bardstown -ky (Sep 6, 2008 | post #2)
