Pagan/Wiccan

carlton/ RHOBH

This is true, but regardless of whether the show is scripted /fake, the way that paganism and the wiccan faith are being portrayed is still detrimental to all,76  (Feb 8, 2014 | post #3)

Pagan/Wiccan

carlton/ RHOBH

Is any one besides myself bothered by carltons behavior and the way that she represents the wiccan community? She says that he wants to educate but becomes irritated when questions and comments are made... and appears to have little respect for other faiths, yet expects everyone to say nothing about hers...  (Feb 4, 2014 | post #1)

Isn't It Time For Liquor Here?

a person who is frequently or habitually drunk. drunk•ard (ˈdr& #652;ŋ kərd) n. a person who is habitually drunk. A person can drink but not do it habitually or make it the focus of their lives. A person can take narcotics for pain if they are hurt but that doesnt necessarily automatically make the an abuser.. as for the other drugs, no i do not condone their use because of the stronger repercussions. You can believe what you wish about alcohol, but people have the inherent right to make their own choices, you dont have the right to take that choice from them.  (Nov 30, 2013 | post #125)

"but didn't you become an alcoholic by having your first drink of alcohol." i dont believe i did, just by taking my first drink...A good guide to addiction is this.... What are the signs of alcohol problems? You might have an alcohol problem if you experience three or more of the following alcohol-related symptoms in a year: Not being able to quit drinking or control how much you drink Needing to drink more to feel the same effect Feeling sick to your stomach, sweaty, shaky, or anxious when you stop drinking Spending a lot of time drinking and recovering from drinking Giving up other activities so you can drink Trying to quit drinking or cut back, but not being able to Continuing to drink even though drinking causes you problems Trying to hide your drinking from others Having blackouts, where you don’t remember what happened while drinking Having friends and family be concerned about your drinking. the first drink didnt cause me to be an alcoholic, making it the only priority in my life did... and i believe you HAVE been hateful to me because you have definately attacked my character and everything about me by saying that i am evil etc because of my beliefs and that is wrong.  (Nov 29, 2013 | post #122)

No Biblical Prohibition on Drinking Alcohol The Bible does not prohibit the consumption of alcohol but leaves that choice up to the individual. Opponents argue against drinking by citing the destructive effects of alcohol addiction, such as divorce, job loss, traffic accidents, breakup of families, and destruction of the addict's health. One of the most dangerous elements of drinking alcohol is setting a bad example for other believers or leading them astray. The Apostle Paul, especially, cautions Christians to act responsibly so as not to be a bad influence on less mature believers: Since an overseer is entrusted with God's work, he must be blameless-not overbearing, not quick-tempered, not given to drunkenness, not violent, not pursuing dishonest gain. (Titus 1:7, NIV) As with other issues not specifically spelled out in Scripture, the decision whether to drink alcohol is something each person must wrestle with on their own, consulting the Bible and taking the matter to God in prayer. In 1 Corinthians 10:23-24, Paul sets down the principle we should use in such cases: "Everything is permissible"- but not everything is beneficial. "Everything is permissible"- but not everything is constructive. Nobody should seek his own good, but the good of others. As I said before you are welcome to believe as you wish, but that does not mean that myself and the others that are in agreement with me are evil or bad persons.  (Nov 27, 2013 | post #118)

you can drank all the Liquor you want in your own home, if you don't have a wife and kids or pets living with you to abuse, and not on welfare of any kind our tax dollars pay for, but when Drunks get outside of their home then it becomes BY BUSINESS." By making this statement, you are saying that ALL who drink are drunks and alcoholics, and that couldnt be farther than the truth. There are plenty of people who drink but are not on welfare, or are abusive to anyone. If I have a friend that says, Im going to rob a bank, yes, I can say I dont agree with want you want to do, but they are an adult and can make the concious choice about whether or not they go through with it, knowing what will happen to them if they do. Doesnt have a thing in the world to do with being quiet.  (Nov 27, 2013 | post #117)

Oh and please keep up with the comments, the "simply stating facts" was in reference to caffeine and nicotine being drugs,... didnt have anything to do with alcohol being good for people  (Nov 27, 2013 | post #115)

I am not saying " I want everyone to go out and get drunk".. what i AM saying is that legal adults have the right to drink if they wish without being judged, preached at or demeaned, there is a diffrence. I dont believe that it is up to me to say, just because i dont drink, you cant either.I am not a FORMER alcoholic, I will be an alcoholic til i die, I just dont actively drink now...  (Nov 27, 2013 | post #114)

Im not justifying anything, simply stating fact.. caffiene and nicotine are two of the most abused substances ever, but people dont consider them as drugs, dont change the fact that they are.. If you choose to believe that alcohol is the devil then go right ahead, more power to you, you have that right but I and the others here have the right to believe the way we choose as well. You are coming across as god or something the way you speak to those that dont share your belief calling names, belittling and judging and last i heard youre not him.  (Nov 25, 2013 | post #108)
