Music on Main

We will be playing some classic rock, blues and country music this evening at the Historic Bus Station. The silent auction and food vendors start up about 6 and the band starts at 7 pm. Come on out and join us. The event is free to the public and the weather looks great.  (Sep 14, 2012 | post #1)

Open Acoustic Jam

We'll be jamming in the Bus station saturday at 5:30. Please come sit in or just hang out. It'll be informal and any style is welcome. We have a band starting at 7:30 so we'll quit playing before then. There will be some chairs available for spectators.  (Aug 2, 2011 | post #32)

Jamming at the Bus Station

This Saturday, we're having an open acoustic jam inside the Bus Station. You don't have to be good or take the lead. Just sit in on the side and play along if you like. Singers welcome. We need to keep it acoustic but I'll bring a cajon for drummers to use and a bass to plug in.  (Aug 1, 2011 | post #1)

Open Acoustic Jam

Anyone who might be interested in jamming, leave an email address in my inbox or on the board. That way you'll stay informed. However, I will also post the date and time on here. We should all be very friendly and encouraging to anyone who wants to play regardless of style of music and level of ability. I will moderate the jams in order to keep things running smoothly. Thanks.  (Jul 19, 2011 | post #9)

Open Acoustic Jam

Yes, Atomic Bomb. I talked with Matt at the Bus Station and they want us to do it there. We need several musicians to be envolved to make it work.  (Jul 19, 2011 | post #8)

Open Acoustic Jam

I'd like to start an open acoustic jam session. All acoustic musicians would be welcome to come play some songs by themselves or with other (sit in) musicians. And spectators would be welcome also. I would provide a small p.a. for anyone to sing thru. It would be cool to have an on going jam around here on say every second saturday evening. Are there any musicians or music lovers out there that think this would work?  (Jul 18, 2011 | post #1)

Guitar

I get their catalog and the prices for good guitars seem high to me. I like looking in stores where I can pick it up and play it. The guitar I want in Musicians Friend is $2999.00. A dealer can come off of that a little.  (Aug 21, 2010 | post #5)

Guitar

You should check the pawn shops. But you'll need to have somebody with you that knows guitars inside and out.  (Aug 21, 2010 | post #3)

Biggest loss in the Music World

Les Paul created multi track recording and the electric guitar including the "Les Paul". Also was a world class musician. But I don't think he could dance.  (Aug 13, 2009 | post #2)
