Green Bay Packers: They Will NOT Win The NFC North

This article points out key factors as to why GB would not win. However, IMO they will compete, for 3rd place. This is not because I am a Vikings fan. My opinion is based off of observations I've made after watching both games for CHI, GB, and MIN. Initially, I was going to credit CHI's defensive line when they wreaked havoc on Aaron Rodgers week 1. However, after watching Antwan "I had three total sacks last year" Odom sack Rodgers five times on Sunday, three of which coming in the 4th QT, the blame goes solely on mismanagement on TT's part and horrendous coaching of technique on the Packers' coaching staff. In the post game press conference, McCarthy even stated that GB gameplanned to add heavier protection packages for Rodgers all afternoon. They didnt help obviously. So therefore, it must come down to terrible technique and/or lack of overall talent. Ever since TT took over the GM position, GB's OL has always been in a state of flux. I dont want to hear that Odom played well because Clifton went down either. Throughout the game, Odom was abusing him as well. The entire Packers' OL is just pathetic as a whole. Can you imagine what MIN's DL are going to do to that offensive line? Expect a lot of the same things you seen last year when GB traveled to the Metrodome to occur on OCT 5th. Rodgers is going to be running for his life. And I hope the Packers aren't looking past STL. Afterall, they "should've " beat Cincinnati to a pulp. Especially at Lambeau. Second Point: Cedric Benson carved up GB's rush DEF for 141 yards on 25+ carries. Thats sad. Seriously. What are they going to do for Adrian Peterson? Its just not going to be pretty. And this based off of pure personnel standpoint. Can someone call Greg Jennings and ask him where he is? Also, Ryan Grant was given a $40 million dollar contract to do what exactly? 3 total carries in the second half is a joke. Third and Final Point: Green Bay has got to be one of the most undisciplined teams in the NFL today. They were penalized up and down the field on Sunday. Luckily for them, CIN was just as bad discipline wise.  (Sep 21, 2009 | post #22)

Vikings 2009: Will head of the Pack lead Vikings back?

I can't believe the media's love for stories with absolute no substance. These "analysts " are not stupid. They know exactly what Favre brings, and exactly what the Vikkings need him to do. The Beast or as I like to call him, The Meast: Half Man, Half Beast, Adrian Peterson is the Vikings OFF. Everything plays off of Peterson. Playaction, screens, etc. If Favre can make those 5-10 dink n dunk passes, MIN will win 12 games this season. If you remember 2007, when Favre and the Packers went 13-3, thats exactly what Mike McCarthy had Favre doing. Hitting those 5-10 yard passes, and letting the talent of the recievers get a;; the YAC. One Big difference between that Packers team and this Vikings team.....The Best TailBack in the game today.  (Sep 11, 2009 | post #1)

Steelers beat the Titans, 13-10

Props to TEN. What a game by that team. No loss is a good loss, but they can hold their heads high. Against a lesser team, TEN routs. That DEF looks studly AGAIN, and Chris Johnson is a stud.  (Sep 10, 2009 | post #1)

Reed's FG Pushes Steelers Past Titans In OT

The game turned out to be a tale of two halves. In the first half, TEN embarassed PIT botH on OFF and DEF. If Bironas was worth anything, TEN could've had the game signed, sealed, and delivered by the 4th qt. But of course, that didnt happen. Pittsburgh told me one thing tonight. "Running the ball may not be the Steeler way this season." Props to TEN's DEF tho. Came out and put the boom to a normally strong PIT rush attack. Great game altogether. Props to PIT. The champs made the plays when they counted most.  (Sep 10, 2009 | post #3)

Reed's FG Pushes Steelers Past Titans In OT

What an absolute joke Rob Bironas turned out to be. What could have been a huge statement game to begin the year for a DEF that was almost overlooked due to the departure of Albert Haynesworth, was overshadowed by a FG by Jeff Reed to end the game! One thing people can take from this game however, is that Pittsburgh is not as great as one would think. The Steeler running game was sad. Their passing game was very average. I believe Roethlisberger threw 2 INT's and 1 TD.  (Sep 10, 2009 | post #1)

Pack's Barnett: 'I want to get a nice little shot on you,...

Its no secret the Packers have made whipping boys outta the Vikes for the past couple years, not including last season of course. lol @ Packers "smacking the Vikings last season. I believe MIN was in position to win at Lambeau last season, but Jackson built a better chemistry with Atari Bigby than he did his own recievers. I believe GB won by less than 6 points. And as far as the game at the metrodome goes, I dont wanna hear a god damn thing from Packers faithful. Anyone that watched that game knows the Vikings shalacked the Packers. The only reason that game APPEARED close was in spite of Gus Frerotte throwing balls directly at Packer DB's. Haha. Yo Rodgers, how many nightmares did you exactly have of Jared Allen coming off the edge, playing with virtually ONE arm. lmao. Get that Packers bullshit outta here. Get an offensive line, then give me a call. haha  (Aug 27, 2009 | post #5)

Vikings get what they deserve

I also heard Greg Bedard of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, take questions about the possibility of GB looking at bringing in T Jackson if MIN releases him. LMAO. Yea, GB take that fucking joke. And give me a call when he continues to sail passes over wide open recievers, and with his IQ comparable to that of a peanut, buckles under pressure when the DEF brings any sort of blitz package.  (Aug 25, 2009 | post #119)

Vikings get what they deserve

I live in WI, and while all my buddies are Cheeseheads, I wont be naive (sp?) enough to say they represent ALL Packers fans. With that, I cant believe how excited fans here in WI are getting over these glorified scrimmages here in the PRESEASON. Local station radio hosts here in the Milwaukee area are already considering the Packers as NFC Conf Contenders and talking about booking tickets to Miami for the Super Bowl. HAHA. What a joke. Seriously, comical. Packers fans seem to forget that no team truly gameplans in the PRESEASON. If they do, its in the 3rd game coming up here. The Packers have beaten up on two teams who were sub .500 last season. Listening to the airwaves here makes me sick. Hey, the Vikings are 2-0, i guess I should be shouting SUPER BOWL! I am not naive, injuries could happen at any time to any player. I guess Packers fans forgot about that, even though they suffered that exact happening last season when a bunch of key defensive talent went down last season for them Packers fans, settle down.  (Aug 25, 2009 | post #118)

Cutler gives Bears hope in NFC North, beyond

Yea, his abismal performance against the Bills gave a lot of people hope for the future and beyond. Unfortunately for the Bears, every secondary has just circled the Bears game if it is indeed on their calendar. That was sad, seriously.  (Aug 18, 2009 | post #1)

Will Green Bay Packers offense be better prepared this se...

Is this a serious question? Lets not forget that they will consistenly see this DEF in practice. I'm not quite understanding why this question has even been brought up to forum? Isn't this more of a question towards the source's level of common sense?  (Aug 18, 2009 | post #1)

NFC North: Impressions of the Detroit Lions

Lets not get too excited for the Lions here. Did anyone else see how happy the franchise looked after wnning a preseason game? Wow. I understand being the ultimate competitior, but that was without a doubt the most pathetci scene ive ever witnessed. I hope the Saints smack the taste right back into the Lions' mouths come week one. New Orleans blew them away last year and likely will again. What a sorry team.  (Aug 18, 2009 | post #1)

ESPN's Tirico Intrigued By '09 Packers

An unbiased fan/viewer of the game would respectively disagree with your previous assumptions for this current Green Bay Packers squad. First off, GB's most recent Top 5 Draft pick is looking more and more like a bust. Granted, AJ Hawk's tackle totals have been nice; thus far hes been less than stellar. Playing to a level where guys like Desmond Bishop. Brandon Chillar, and Jeremy Thompson have buried you on the GB depth chart. Don't think for a second that this fact entitles GB a source of depth. Bishop, Chillar and Thompson would have troubling starting on over 3/4's of the rest of the league OUTSIDE of GB. Did I mention thats he looks absolutely lost in the new 3-4 scheme? Next, Aaron Kampman, the only legitimate Pass Rusher GB has had in years is completely dissatisfied and also looks like "frankenstein " out there in coverage. I cant imagine ONE TE in the NFL not salivating for the huge game they will likely have with Kampman covering him. Also, you showed love for GB's secondary? Have you realized yet that Al Harris, who is a bump n r corner, also looks ridiculously lost in the new 3-4 DEF schemes.  (Aug 7, 2009 | post #8)

Prince snaps. Nothing surprising. Personally, its nice to see a little emotion in MIL. The team is playing terribly.  (Aug 5, 2009 | post #3)
