Birthright Citizenship Coming to an End in Arizona?

Just stating that a baby born on US soil is an American Citizen by birth. And yes, this should be changed! We are one of a few countries in which this applies.  (Feb 21, 2011 | post #517)

Probably most of the immigrnts come from Commonwealth and EU countries? Pakistan and Hungary come to mind. And yes they receive many benefits, usually more than the local Brits. They have council housing, health benefits including dental and vision. Britain is fast becoming a Muslim country?  (Feb 16, 2011 | post #463)

Amazing when I read these posts and see the incredible grammer. Spelling is horrific, Punctuation sometimes non existint. Capitalization bad. Guess todays generations with computers, and texting leave a lot to be desired. I note that my age does not allow me to be perfect now, but I try! If these parents are the ones showing their children reading, writing and 'arithmetic' (now known as math), we must wonder what the teachers have to look forward to with their students. Children today do not know geography and history? Guess this is the improvement in todays learning system.  (Jan 19, 2011 | post #60)

I agree. I went to St Leo's when the Nuns, only, were the teachers, No Aids. Had 50-60 students in my class. Had the class in the auditorium which was divided by a curtain to contain 2 large classes! Looking back the experience was great and the learning was great. The plastic ruler or round marker took care of a lot of problems? I would not trade that experience, and would gladly go through it again. Of course I did not think that way at the time. Nun's ruled! I know times have changed, not necessarily for the best. Classes now have to be very small to allow the students to reach their potential? Much depends on the teachers ability. Also went to LHS when Ted K. was principle. Not very many students looked forward to having to go to his office for a talking to! Oh, to go back to them days! I believe we all turned out with a good education and good morals if we chose to do so!  (Jan 19, 2011 | post #58)

Have you taken into consideration the Elderly and the Handicapped that are unable to shovel their sidewalks? Maybe there neighbors would be willing to help when they shovel theirs? Probably not much hope of that happening!  (Jan 14, 2011 | post #106)

Service Above Self in Leominster - Sentinel & Enterprise

Elenore and John were great citizens of Leominster. I like to think they were good friends of ours when we used their pharmacy for many years. Nice to see Elenore receive this award for the many things she has done for the city over the years. Missed seeing and chatting with both of them over the years until we moved to Arizona.  (Jan 8, 2011 | post #1)
