Black bear sighted in Weston

Come on people, the bears were there a long time before the people moved in. Back off, leave it alone and it will go away. DON't FEED IT. DON'T KILL IT. Soon there will be none left.  (Apr 20, 2009 | post #60)

Hollywood water meter protection: Hollywood to consider o...

This sounds like a good idea, but there is a second problem. How do you shut off the water if they don't pay? I think this would be the stage where more drastic measures (cutting locks etc.) might be permitted  (Apr 15, 2009 | post #29)

This is Easter Sunday," said Andrea Cooper, also an aunt to Jamire. "Somebody needs to do something about all the guns." Here we go...how about doing something about raising kids to have respect for life, the guns didn't shoot themselves. Oh, I forgot...it called pro-choice.  (Apr 13, 2009 | post #16)

I agree that something is missing here. It seem that even a good reporter should be posing some questions here that remain unanswered. How did this gentleman get the the part to begin with. Did someone drop him off? Did he ride a bus? How did he get there. Why did they wait three days to report him missing? How could he have been missed in an "extensive " search of the park. Did they use dogs in the search. Come on Sun-Sentinel, who did this report, an intern?  (Apr 10, 2009 | post #44)

Five challenges the Marlins must overcome. 1. Getting people into the stadium. 2. Keeping good players. 3. Bullpen (need I say more_ 4. High prices getting into the stadium. 5. High prices IN the stadium.  (Apr 6, 2009 | post #12)

Michael Mayo: Anglers could be on hook for new license fees

The state fines a way to make a few dollars on most anything that can be enjoyed in the state. It is not the occasional fisherman out for a day of sport that I am concerned about. What about the people who depend on fishing for a meal. Though they may be few, it is a good way to find a fairly inexpensive meal. So what's next a tax on green fees and golf equipment? The state should leave fishing fees to the birds.  (Apr 5, 2009 | post #2)

Miramar student, 17, arrested after chest-bumping teacher

Suspended? This kid should be expelled immediately, or placed is some kind of "high risk" school. Maybe juvenile detention until he graduates would work. There should be NO tolerance for this level of disrespect for authority especially teachers.  (Mar 24, 2009 | post #18)

How is this different from the pranks of generations gone by. Eating goldfish, sitting on the top of flagpoles (ouch!), mooning, Teepeeing a house. Mostly harmless fun, till somebody takes it too far. So, what's next?  (Mar 22, 2009 | post #9)

Deputy invovled shooting in Lake Worth

I find it interesting that the Sun-Sentinel is quick to identify the shooter, but NOT the intruder, surely by now they know who he is. It can't be easy (well maybe) taking a life. I think the cop did what he had to do, the intruder got what he deserved. Even so, I hope the officer will be OK after all of this.  (Mar 20, 2009 | post #198)

I agree, this whole deal is insane. If Loria wants a new stadium, let him build it. Give him a few tax breaks, but NO tax money.  (Feb 27, 2009 | post #4)

Why should churches be left indefensible when they are under attack by loonies coming to shoot up whoever they can find. It was a stupid law to begin with.  (Feb 14, 2009 | post #3)
