Warriors beat Grizzlies behind big nights from Ellis, Morrow - ...
It's the Warriors. We can almost lose to anybody. That makes us one of the most feared teams in the NBA! (Tuesday | post #2)
Report: Warriors trade Stephen Jackson to Charlotte
Mark: Interesting, I think he started grunting after he became disgruntled. Doesn't make sense now that I think about it. Tiffany: Raja has an expiring contract and an upcoming hand surgery. The cats get scoring, but how long until SJax starts grunting/becomes disgruntled in Charlotte? (Tuesday | post #3)
Wow, AI is more disfunctional than Stephen Jackson. At least Jackson has stopped whining. GO WARRIORS!!! (Thursday Nov 5 | post #1)
Jackson promises peace vs. Bryant
Good question. Stephen came to us as part of a crazy good mid season trade with the Pacers in 2007. He turned his act around from thug to a leader on and off the floor. Last year he lobbied ownership and got a $28 Million dollar 3 year extension that kicks in after this season. At the end of this past offseason, he announced that he didn't want to play for oakland any more. That he wanted to play for a team with a shot like the Nicks (WHAT the HECK????). He got fined $25K, said he didn't want to be a Captain or role model any more, but that he would still play hard. He then get's 5 fouls and a technical in 10 minutes of preseason against Kobe, yells at coach Nelson and gets a 2 game suspension. I think he needs to review his medications with his doctor. I think he's getting bad advice. I think this is a lousy time to try an shop a fat contract on an aging player with a bad attitude. Oh well. Houston tomorrow night, less Ming and McGrady. GO WARRIORS!!! (Tuesday Oct 27 | post #11)
Rowell just needs to find an owner more stupid than he is, not an easy task. (Tuesday Oct 27 | post #5)
Jackson promises peace vs. Bryant
Bewitched: Neither Andy or Stephen's contracts are shabby at all. I wish you better luck with Andy than we've had with Stephen. (Tuesday Oct 27 | post #9)
You forget, guys never grow up! Not exactly true. If I hadn't grown up in other areas, I'd have never got past the first date with my wife! There are some areas where all men will be boys. (Oct 23, 2009 | post #14)
Jackson promises peace vs. Bryant
Bewitched: No offense, but I would have said the same thing about SJax last year. (Oct 23, 2009 | post #7)
Jackson promises peace vs. Bryant
Mid season is a looooong ways away. Lots of time for SJax to do almost anything. Let's see how he does, emotionally and physically, once the season starts next. (Oct 23, 2009 | post #6)
You're exactly right! As a Warriors season ticketholdler, I should be falling down on my knees thanking Jackson for his time here and being so open and honest with us now. He IS better than Kobe, or Michael, or Wilt, or, or, or... ANYBODY!!! ALL HAIL MICHAEL JACKS...er...I mean STEPHEN JACKSON!!! (Oct 23, 2009 | post #2)
Jackson promises peace vs. Bryant
Let's face it. Good behavior or not, I don't see any team wanting to pay $28 million for Jackson to play 2010-2013. Not anymore. Maybe we could put him on the Warrior Girl squad...and hey, we still need a new mascot! (Oct 23, 2009 | post #3)
Tiffany: SJax can't carry us to the playoffs. He tried to last season and ran himself into the ground. After last night's butt-kicking of the Gasol-less Hornets, I have some hope. SJax, Beans and Randolf didn't even suit up, and Ellis/Curry/Morrow were amazing together. What would make me happy would be to go to tonight's season ticketholder event and find a Stephen Jackson dunking booth. He really needs to make some kind of public apology if he's going to stick around and be effective in any kind of team capacity. He probably won't though. Monta never did for the Moped incedent/lie. Martina2: I know. You're right. But that's the nature of being a fan. Otherwise, what's the point of buying season tickets? (Oct 23, 2009 | post #12)
He WAS a role model and my favorite Warrior for quite a while (as you well know). This whole situation is particularly disappointing to me. I'm going to tonight's pre-season game with the Hornets, and a season ticketholder event tomorrow night (wine & food fest). It should be an interesting couple of days... (Oct 22, 2009 | post #9)
He probably can't understand why teams aren't lining up to beg the Warriors to trade such a high caliber, fan endearing, highly skilled role model such as himself. (HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH A....) (Oct 22, 2009 | post #7)
