Yes I read about this, this morning ... and the point to this was???? But under all false pretense of what it was suppose to be... typical lying tactics... Hope they threw the books away but kept the cash... honestly that is what I would do. Now I gather most of these women would be Catholics..... so lets make a senerio ... what would happen if oh lets say ... an archbishop travelled to a Islamic country ... and did the say for Muslim women to attend something ... and then started preaching about Christianity ?????? That would be pretty much every single religion upon this planet bar one ... and the rest of us who do not believe in anything expect ourselves and our lives... the ones who do not have to obey an religious laws that are man made and to make everyone to conform to one ideology way of thinking. Na I would rather believe in myself, believe in my husband and my family ... at least I get total gratification from that... actually seeing them, hearing them... being appreciated by them and especially loved by them .... every single day of my life. The brain is told what to do with regards of the 5 senses..... if there is no brain .. there is no life. Our brains DO NOT tell us about any God ... it is ppl who tell others what to believe ... it started way back even when there was NO religion as we know it today .... ppl think that they have to believe in something ... and it is brainwashed into ppl from when they are born ... Why do you think that prior to Islam, christianity etc etc etc... that ppl had to worship pagan statues and Gods.???? They had to make statues/idols of things so that they could see and touch it ... even tho it did nothing.... the same as today ... with the way some worship... a cross, a big black stone... they think they get closer to something that is just within the mind ... without reality. Nothing has hurt me... no one, no person... instead I have opened my eyes to what religion is. It is nothing in my life. Yes I have a bible in my house still (one I received when I was 10 years old and attended sunday school). So why even say that... What a stupid comment to make. Why cant I reject something that nothing what so ever in my life. I am still exactly the same person I was when I was one... nothing has changed. I dress the same, I speak the same, I judge people the same etc etc etc... If someone rejected Islam and became a christian - you would say fantastic.... if someone left Shinto and became a Muslim you would say ... its bad.... If someone wants to believe in something in a good way ... not a fantatical way .. ok ... without harping on about it. As I said... I have worked with Padres (within the Defence force when I served), I even today will pray for the ppl who have fallen in war- but how I do it - is not to any God but for the families to feel peace etc. You expect everyone to follow Christianity ... to accept who you have so called accepted.... well sorry to tell you ... but there are a lot of us in this world who totally reject ALL RELIGIONS... as it has not and never will bring peace... it has NOT stopped any wars, if anything it starts them... it does NOT stop world wide disasters - natural or not .... So what does it do.... it causes TOTAL conflict amoungst the masses.... every one has to conform or be labelled... well this girl does not do that. The bible, the Quran, The Torah etc... are ALL written by man. They have ALL be totally distorted over time with interpretations. If you think by quoting from the bible makes you a better person than myself... you are so dam wrong. I have done a lot in my 40+ years with helping people that I feel good within myself and always will... and as long as I have the total love from my husband and children .. then I am a really happy and totally forfilled women. You say its a joke being an ex-christian... well its a joke for the born again. I dont need any christian, Muslim... or any person of any faith to tell me whats right and what is wrong. I do not need to believe in any God to be a good person. If you saw me walking down the street you wouldnt have a clue as to what or who I am or for what I believe or not believe in. If I do something wrong, it is only myself that judges myself.. no one else. If I have done wrong to someone else... then it is those that judge me.. not a so called higher power that no one can see. The old saying of Bible bashers... now that is a term that is associated with B.A.C's... Just like ex-smokers, saying how bad it is when they have smoked all their adult life etc. If I want to term my back upon religion its my person choice. But certain people become so radical in their way of thinking... they think they are better than others.... and they are NOT (because they follow a religion). Why is it that Atheisim is becoming so much more popular in this world today.... its because of how people are today. We dont start wars... or take control of countries.... and we see all sides .. not being a one sided debated ... which is exactly what you do all the time... (for a person who has been it for a whole 3 months... oh yoopeee....big deal... I am an EX-CHRISTIAN... would probably know a heck of lot more than yourself... considering you have only been one for such a short period of time.... As I said... because you were not there at that particular time in history you will say it is lies.... and like I said before... you deny just as much as what some Muslims do as well. 077.050 YUSUFALI: Then what Message, after that, will they believe in? This is what Alen said to read... ummm... nothing about 2012. Also if ppl did some research .. it actually means the end of one era and the new beginning of another one. Considering that this calendar came into existance and most of the world actually uses it (via once again scientific and mathematically equations)... who knows what will happen. So many others have predicated the end of the world... yes 31/12/99 ... and other doomsday stuff.. the only way to find out is on the actual day. He has put his religion first.... and that is WRONG WRONG WRONG. He didnt want to be deployed ... but that is what you sign up for ... to serve your country. To take an oath when you sign on the dotted line. You join for a certain length of time ... and after that you are given the option to stay or leave.... well this guy chose to stay on .... People will say dont blame his religion... but why shouldnt we... when his fellow ex-classmates have stated: "He would frequently say that he was Muslim first and an American second. That came out in just about everything he did in the university," Does not this ring a heck of alarm bells... he DID put his religion first....
