Palmyra man, 29, jailed for sex with girl, 15

He has also gone down in history as the greatest monster who ever infested the earth - because of his anti-Semitic attitude like yours. My Lord and Savior was a Jew, by the way.  (Jun 7, 2011 | post #32)

It's the same guy who wrote into this forum wishing a happy birthday to "the great man, Adolf Hitler!"  (May 24, 2011 | post #24)

I'm not here to defend the guy, but when I was 15 in 1979, the age of consent in PA was 14, and no one said a word about such a relationship, because it was perfectly legal back then. Today, the age of consent is legally 16 (thanks to conservatives who got the age raised). Even if a 16-year-old or 17-year-old legally consents to sex with an adult, the adult can still be charged with corruption of the morals of a minor - even if the minor makes the advance! (Moral: Check ID!) That offense is one of the few misdemeanors in PA which renders the offender ineligible to own a gun - even if the person merely gave a 17-year-old a beer!  (May 23, 2011 | post #14)

Will Rogers also had another saying that I love to use, as both Roger and I have that in common with Will Rogers. "I'm not a member of any organized party - I'm a Democrat!"  (May 19, 2011 | post #5)

I can't understand why the Lebanon Daily News still prints letters that support or oppose certain political candidates the very day before the election, where the opposition has no chance for rebuttal. Where I grew up, the local paper had a policy of not printing letters in support of certain candidates within two weeks of any election. I feel that their policy makes much more sense.  (May 19, 2011 | post #7)

What cracks me up is that most of these birthers voted for a man who was born in Panama! It cracks me up even more that many of these same people wanted to REMOVE that VERY SAME provision in the U.S. Constitution to allow Austrian-born Arnold Schwartzenegger to run on the Republican ticket for president. Remember what happened the last time an Austrian took over a foreign government - his name was Adolf Hitler. Oh, that's right - one of you racist rednecks actually wrote into this very forum to wish a happy birthday to "the great man, Adolf Hitler" back in April. Regardless if Obama was born on the moon or in Hawaii, Obama's mother was a natural-born U.S. citizen, which automatically grants birthright citizenship to Obama himself.  (May 19, 2011 | post #61)

CBS-21 did a poll the other day. A full 30% of midstaters believed that Obama issued a counterfeit birth certificate!  (Apr 29, 2011 | post #26)

I call bullshit! Gas was nowhere near as low as $1.85 a gallon in January 2009, not even in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Gas was more like $2.85 (not $1.85) a gallon at that point, down from $4.13 a gallon in the summer of 2008. The only reason gas prices even came down was because the high prices were threatening the election of John McCain, and Barack Obama was making a big point in his 2008 campaign about how high gas prices had gotten that summer.  (Apr 29, 2011 | post #25)

Excuse me, but I studied "History of Fascism and Nazism" at Penn State University, as I firmly believe that those who do not take a warning from history are destined to repeat it. I am an amateur historian as well - yes, I have read "Mein Kampf", but only from a historical viewpoint. I grew up in a very historical area, and that is what spurred my interest in history. Winston Churchill (spell his name right, moron!) was put into power to keep Hitler from being handed England on a silver platter by Neville Chamberlain, and if King Edward VIII had not abdicated, he would have been a German ally. If you side with Hitler, we know what kind of person you are. You are un-American, and your namesake, Thomas Paine, would be ashamed to know that someone like you is using his good name and is probably spinning in his grave. Do you actually favor someone who had millions of people murdered just because they may have given opposition to his absolute dictatorship, or were merely the "wrong" religion for him? Remember, Catholics were next on his hit list. Adolf Hitler had exactly two good ideas. One was the Autobahn, and the other was the Volkswagen, created by Hitler's good friend, Dr. Ferdinand Porsche.  (Apr 21, 2011 | post #28)

BREAKING NEWS: Sunk again

What they need as well is a US 322/422 freeway between I-83 and US 222. It would take 3/4 of the traffic off of this problem route. A reroute of the existing 422 is the other solution, but there are too many businesses that would be affected by that move. How far down is actual bedrock? It would be like putting bridge piers in the middle of a river, but it could be done.  (Apr 21, 2011 | post #20)

Has no one learned the lessons of 150 years ago this month when, among other states, Texas actually did secede from the Union? 600,000 American lives were lost in one of our nation's bloodiest wars.  (Apr 21, 2011 | post #35)
