That's because most of those fugly people come from OUT OF TOWN. They're not original Hazletonians. And it seems like they make a concerted effort to make themselves appear as ugly as possible. When I grew up here, people on the whole were much more attractive. However, as I agree that the people living in Hazleton now show diluted genes, it also applies to the rest of this country! Thugs with shaved heads, 'pants on the ground', etc. (Mar 21, 2011 | post #12)
Hey, hey, no dissin' all Pennsylvanians. At least not the ones that live in the middle of Pa. (You know, "Pennsylvania is Philly and Pittsburgh with Alabama in the middle"). Plenty of healthy, strapping Pa. boys and men would be chafing to go to the border and help with enforcement! (Jan 14, 2011 | post #467)
When the Mafia was here, Hazleton was a much better and nicer town. (Dec 26, 2010 | post #61)
WHEN is the gov't going to admit that we have a war going on on our border w/Mexico? This is beyond ridiculous. What's it going to take? Another terrorist attack on the scale of 9/11? Are they afraid of offending Mexico and that they'd turn off the oil faucet from there? What a mess. There is a war brewing, and citizens are getting fed up enough to take matters into their own hands, which is what we need to do when things get this far out of control and our so-called elected representatives, including the president, refuse to honor their oath of office and protect us from enemies both foreign and domestic. We're on our own, I'm afraid. (Jul 1, 2010 | post #453)
Let me guess-The News Journal? (I used to live in Delaware). What you speak of was a part of why I finally moved out (Apr 20, 2010 | post #476)
Illegal aliens, go home to Mexico. An example: our Dominican neighbor, instead of calling a plumber to fix a blocked drain, now decided to hang a PVC pipe out her kitchen window to drain her washing machine. We will be calling Code Enforcement if it keeps up. (Mar 29, 2009 | post #30)
What a horrible situation-work to change the direction of this country-do anything you can... (Mar 4, 2009 | post #166)
Have you taken a really good look at this country lately? A reeaaaally good look? It already is a sh it hole! (Jan 14, 2009 | post #442)
Amero, anyone? (Jan 14, 2009 | post #419)
Why, you pinhead? Because Western women tend to think for themselves, and stay away from dopes like you? With an attitude like that, it's no wonder you can't land a girlfriend. Man.... (Dec 27, 2008 | post #80)
Yea, all you guys wondering why your location shows different from where you really are-register at Topix and edit your location. I'm in Pa, but before I registered, it said Little Rock, AR! (Dec 27, 2008 | post #30)
What a horrible situation. I'm afraid there will be many more like this partially caused by the present economic predicaments of people, ones that cause them to snap. (Dec 26, 2008 | post #13)
I think it's a terrific idea for Weis (or any other grocery store, for that matter) to carry and sell beer. I hope they get it. "People have all kinds of beliefs; I believe I'll have another beer! ;o) " (Dec 23, 2008 | post #3)

Having another beer...lol, well, really, I'm pretty cynical. I believe that every day is unique and some are more difficult than others to get through. Oh, I also believe in the power of my cats to put me in a better mood.
